Our kiss was pretty… average? Definitely no tongue since that’s not really our thing. It was quick but long enough to get the shot.

haha however silly it may seem, i’ve made him practice. When he comes in to kiss me I’ll say “wedding kiss!” and make him practice how he is going to kiss me. We are going to do more than a peck but no tongue. If that makes any sense.

Lol, my wedding isn’t even close to planned (it is a mere thought right now, despite being engaged 4 months now) but I’ve worried about this before.

Our kiss will definitely be PG- and by PG I mean it won’t be a peck, but there will be no tongue, no dip, and it will likely be a few seconds (maybe 3?). I’m sure we will practice it many times before the ceremony, but I think I can consider it similar to any kiss we would do in public- nothing over the top. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.

Practice your wedding day kiss. That’s what we did! 😉

We went with ‘church tongue’ (we both like the movie the Wedding Singer). It wasn’t raunchy, but there was definitely time for the photographers to get the shot.

@StarryNight2011:  LOL, church tongue.  Such a great movie.  I always cry at the end…. “Even let you hold the remote control” gets me every time!

During the homily, our (Catholic) priest talked a bit about how the kiss should be.  He was talking about how intimacy is a beautiful part of marriage, and we shouldn’t be afraid to show it.  He said that a few months previous, he married another couple, and when he said they could kiss, the groom went in and just gave her a quick peck.  The priest, not realizing that his microphone was still on, said, “What the hell was that???”

The groom apparently looked at him and said, “Well, what do you want me to do?  Dip her right here in the church?”

The priest answered, “YES!  Dip her!  You’re her husband!!!  You can do whatever you want!!!  Now just do it!  For goodness’ sake, you’re asking a PRIEST for advice on how to kiss your woman!”

…Needless to say, we KISSED.  There was tongue.  Our priest applauded.  We’ve never had a problem with PDAs, though.

    Yeah, our priest was awesome.

    Love the story Greeneyedmoon.

I am not a big kisser so Darling Husband and I practiced and bit before the big day and it was definitely a peck but the photographer got the picture and it looks great. 🙂

I think it’s a personality type I am sure our friends and family expected the level of kiss they say and I can pick which of my friends would do a full makeout session up there and which would give a peck.  You know what you are comfy with.  Do what makes you happy it will feel right 🙂

OMG! I am the same way. Im not getting married for 2 years and I am already planning this. I know its gonna be PG..but I am afraid if its too PG people are gonna be like ‘thats it’ lol like shouldn’t we be more excited for our wedding day. haha. But we DO NOT show ANY PDA in front of our families now, so it will def not be any tounge sloppy make out session(I have seen this and it is so awkward!) I guess we are gonna have to practice lol

I say our Kiss was pretty great! He grabbed me, almost knocking me over, but he held me really close…with tongue : ) lol

If your kiss does not go as planned it is just something else you can laugh about after the wedding….mishaps are all part of happy memories later! -sorry pic is so huge! I tried to shrink it!

O.M.G! I was JUST thinking about this earlier, after watching say yes to the dress!!!! I don’t even know how we’re going to kiss. we never really kiss in front of our families!!! It’s kind of a weird thought to me! lol. Plus our kisses aren’t long anyways, so we’ll definitely be practicing before our big day!!!

@Pappy8:  You will honestly not be thinking about it. It’s a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions… There were people running on the beach where I was married and I had no idea. Lol. Father-In-Law told me he shooooed them off afterward
