I love Nicholas Sparks book and I have requested the book from the library but I'm on a very long wait list. Thinking about just buying it.
So, no I haven't read it yet and I'm not seeing the movie until I at least read the book.
I just finished the book yesterday, the last few chapters just made me cry. I do think this might have been one of Nicholas Sparks' best books.
I hate Miley Cyrus, so I am not sure wether I will go see the movie or not (the girl's voice just annoys me so much it isn't even funny).
I wish they would have casted anyone else in her role, then I would be at the movie tonight!
@yrret - I got my copy from the grocery store for only $8 and it was the same price at Barnes & Noble, I just got the small print paperback. If you have the money to go buy it, get it! :)
@MsMini - I totally agree. I found myself watching her mouth more than anything and being annoyed with her acting. This was one of his best books, its funny usually the book is better than the movie, but I have to say The Notebook is one of my favorite movies and I read the book and loved the movie so much more.

Hi All! So I just saw The Last Song yesterday even though I told myself I wouldnt mainly because I dont like Miley Cyrus. But I read the book the week before and absolutely loved it so I thought Id go see the movie. I liked it, it was good but I found that I enjoyed the book ALOT more! It might not have been the best idea to read it before seeing the movie, I found myself comparing the 2 while the movie was going on and remembering "that didnt happen in the book, it wasnt like that, etc"
Has anyone seen the movie and read the book? What did you guys think? I bawled for the last 100 pages or so of the book and cried a bit during the movie, but not nearly as much as I though I would. (Im not spoiling anything, its a Nicholas Sparks movie/book!!) I guess with the book they had the ability to really dig into the characters, give backstories, etc that made it more enjoyable.
