Any of you looking for a budget wedding gown? Go to www.thelimited.com and look at their sales section. There are 5-6 wedding gowns on sale, and an extra 40%. If you have virtual dollars (you can google for codes) that's an extra $25 off for every $50! You can get a gown for $30!!!! go go go!
thanks for posting I am looking for a reception dress. have you bought any dresses from them lately how do they run size wise right on, kinda smaller then typical or bigger then typical/?
They run spot-on to your usual limited size. I'm a XS in tops, and a 4 in pants, so their 2's fit me in dresses. I would definitely refer to the size chart.
I bought the one-shouldered gown and returned it because it wasn't what I was looking for, but the dress itself was beautiful. I'm waiting on 2 others.
I ordered 2 dresses. My 'wedding gown' and my rehearsal dinner/honeymoon dress.
The first dress is on sale for $199, I got for $99 with virtual dollars. The second dress is on sale for $47, I got it for $23.50!
I really do like their dresses. They had one I was in love with last April, but I had decided it was too early to shop. By the time I got around to it, it was gone.
Yes, they are stackable! It's really an awesome deal. I'm praying my dress is amazing.
@AshleyB: Do you know which one you're looking at? I tried on the one shouldered with the jeweled belt. It's really, really pretty. It was just too clingy on my hips for me.
how funny I was just coming back on to show you the dress I bought and it is same short one you bought... and 4 other dresses, 2 tops and a pair of black slacks for $131 so excited thanks for posting about this great sale!!! I just hope it all fits once I get it in the mail...
oh and that price included 10 bucks for tax and 15 for shipping... so I really only spent like $105 on clothing so happy!!

I will let you know as soon as I get it so exctiing! I bought a differnt reception dress that I returned it was like $395 from nordstrom I had found it on line and when I got it in the mail I hated how it looked on me.
Which one did you try at Nordstrom's? I've been stalking there as well. I ordered the Dalia Macphee dress... but the pleats came out after trying on a few times. So bummed because that dress fit me beautifully!

Speaking of which, the dress I ordered was the Dalia MacPhee from nordstrom. what do you mean the pleats came out? Now you have me freaking out here.
I had bought a BGBC dress for close to 400 bucks everyone raves about it on this site for a reception dress but I hated how it looked when I got it in person vs. online...
I was so happy my shipment came today everything fits great. THe only down side the reception dress is being shipped out seperate and is the second of tow boxes and now i am waiting for it... but I am happy everything else fot great. I have never bought anything from the limited and it was risky buying online and not knowing what size to get but i just went with the measurments on there site compared to what i measured when I got my wedding dress and I found a perfect fit. now only time will tell with the reception dress. cause out of the 4 dresses I bought that came in two fit great one was bi and was was a tad tight to zip in one spot. I got it to zip it just wasnt easy...
@trinifever: I LOVE the dalia! Don't get me wrong. I just found it uncomfortable and the pleats around the knee droop a little. I looked at the stock photo, and thats how it is supposed to be... the type A in me couldn't handle it. ALso, my upper body is extremely small, and I have a round booty..... sooo... the top was way too big and I didnt want to get through all the alterations. Needless to say, its a beautiful dress and if I had more boobage, I would be wearing it!
@AshleyB: I got both! I"M OBSESSED with my new wedding dress :) The short one that we both got is super cute too. I love how flouncy it is! I'm keeping both.. and attached is the pic of my dress! I want to alter the bust. Maybe a slight sweetheart or notched neckline. I havent' figured it out yet.

@AshleyB: I can't believe its taking so long! I really like the short dress. I would not have paid $250... but for $27, its great :) the skirt is really full and fun!

I got my short dress in the mail and it was here when I got home from work late last night, this morning i opened it and tired it on... I like it but I think it is too fluffy at the bottom for me. I got it for like 25 bucks so I think I am going to try taking the stiff fluffy layer out and seeing how it looks.... what do you think?
@AshleyB: Aw I'm sad you aren't happy with it! I Love the fluffiness. I'm not sure how the dress would lay without it. Have you considered a non-white reception dress? that may be easier for you to find something that you love!
So upon inspection of fluffily layer. I don't really know what that stiff stuff is called but there was to layers. So I grabbed my scissors and cut apart one of the layers I figured the worst that would happen is I ruin a 23 buck dress and I'd start the search again. But I was happier with the look. Now I just need to drop like ten pounds and it will look good on me.
@AshleyB: awesome! need an inspiration partner? i'm trying to drop 5. lol... as i'm sitting at work eating a snickers almond bar.
My dress arrived from The Limited and I think I like it! I love the bodice. I think the skirt needs some body to it, so I'm going to try a small crinoline. What do you guys think? For only $50 shipped, I think I can modify it to work...
@Lulusmom: LOVE IT! The bodice definitely looks awesome on you! I kind of like it as is, but crinoline could help.

can anyone explain how to use the virtual dollars and the stackable codes? :( i'm so NOT technology savvy and i just cant' figure it out. i can only seem to be able to find one "coupon code" slot and when i try any of those #'s in that coupon site it says it's invalid and the only one they'd accept for me right now is the "save40" which takes off 40% of the what's the price right now, but it's still 70+ dollars w/o shipping. :(

@sweetietooth: You will have to wait for the next time The limited is redeeming virtual dollars.... I would sign up for their emails, so you can be in the loop.
You can only use one coupon code on the limited orders. So what we did, was, we saw everything in the store was 40% off at a time when virtual dollars were in redemption.
Also, yesterday they had a 40% off promotion but no other coupons were able to be redeemed. Sometimes you just have to wait for a good deal :( But $70 seems really good!!
yeah it was perfect timing everything including clerance was 40% off and there were many sites online that if you googled for codes they had tons of virtual $ but they are not having the same deal right now I just lucked out at saw this post at the right time. just keep an eye out for another big sale!
