@AcheneMalefic:  Yeah, we “lie” in the way you describe. I am such an obvious liar, like we know it’s all a joke.

I don’t seriously lie to my SO, though… and I don’t think he lies to me hahaha.

See, the “lie” in your example seems more like sarcasm to me, so I wouldn’t even think to consider it a lie if it came out of my husband’s mouth. But my teenager? Yeah, he’s straight lying to me when I say “did you take the dog out” and he says “yes” but the dog’s collar isn’t on and the leash is in the same exact place where I left it. Teen LK is not trying to be funny when he says “yes,” he’s trying to straight up deceive me. And then he loses privledges for a week, but that’s another story. THAT is a “lie” to me.

@lovekiss:  +1. We are very sarcastic with each other (which we both find funny), but I don’t consider that lying. For me, something is only a lie when the intention is to seriously deceive someone for personal gain.
