Oh I like this post! Im home alone all day and found a nasty centipede (sp?) in our bathroom which freaks me out. Our roomie was sleeping still and my BM wasn’t here yet and when they both got here they helped me look for him to kill him, all I did was spray him with lysol and hope he’d die? We never found him and I didn’t return to the bathroom till I had to leave to babysit. Well I came home at 11 last night from babysitting to a VERY CLEAN bathroom. He says he found him but I think he is lying to make me feel better πŸ™‚

I applied for a higher up position at my job and found out Monday that they chose someone else, I was a little bummed and my guy came home with a big bouquet of flowers to cheer me up. Smile

He knows that this weekend I have to go to a bridal shower that is 2 hours out of my way, and I have to kind of spend money I’m trying to save. He knows I’m doing this because the women who are throwing the shower & the bride are his friends wives. He knows this is a little stressful.

He texted me an hour ago and said I’m getting extra pampering this weekend since he knows I’ll have to drive a lot.

It’s the little things…

The other day I had a GirlScout leaders meeting in the evening, while I was gone he cleaned the house!  Now it wasn’t exactly a disaster to begin with but… πŸ™‚  On a daily basis he gets up when I do (even though he doesn’t have to for another hour) and makes my breakfast and lunch for me to take to work… so sweet…

My favorite thing he has done was taped a note to the bathroom mirror for me or go fill the car up with gas so I don’t have to.

I had a leak in my radiator and we could not afford to get it replaced at the time. He woke up extra early to put water in my radiator EVERY SINGLE DAY for months. It was winter when we noticed it and at the time he has to go to (he has to be there by 6am) it is very cold! He would do it so I wouldn’t be cold and get wet before going to work! That is love. LOL

I also think it is cute that he turns on the porch light for me when he knows I am going to the gym before work. Or how he puts things by my purse so I WILL NOT forget then like a movie to return to Blockbuster or this morning a check to deposit. They are the little things, but it is appreciated. πŸ™‚

When I’ve had a bad day or I’m just tired, he’ll cook and clean up after cooking. He helps me with my resume. If he knows I’m PMSing, he’ll surprise me with a big chocolatey bowl of ice cream (although this may be not because he loves me but out of fear… lol)

He’s so sweet to me. I’m very lucky. πŸ™‚

This is a great post! My hubby always switchs cars with me when he knows mine is low on gas so he can fill it up for me! He also gets up early and makes me breakfast every morning since he knows I’m ALWAYS running behind and don’t have time to make it myself!

The little things are AMAZING! But, I have to share a big thing he did for me recently because it meant soo much!

My dad died 13 years ago, August 8th.. I’ve had a hard time with it this year because of the wedding, buying my first house etc without my dad being there. On the anniversary of his death, my hubby came home with my favorite starbucks and an envelope. I looked at the envelope and it was addressed to my dad!! My sweet sweet husband wrote a long letter to my dad telling him what an amazing woman I have turned into, and described the wedding, and said how much he wished he could meet him because he knew from what I have said that they would be great friends. He also wrote how proud of me he knew my dad should be and promised to love me and take care of me forever.

Of course I bawled my eyes out.. but it was so awesome that he took the time out to write that… =)

@lil – I have tears in my eyes too!

Since the wedding is a week away, the OOT guests havre started arriving and some of them are staying at our house.  Well, last night, two of these guests had a HUGE fight and one left to stay in a hotel.  We weren’t there for the fight but it has turned into an international drama with sides of the story flying across oceans via phone calls.

I had to work today but FH is home and he is driving 45 minutes each way to drop off one of the people to my Mom so that we can seperate them.

Oh, and all of these people are in MY family.

I guess this isn’t a little thing but it does show how much he loves me πŸ™‚
