My husband gained weight during my pregnancy, but he had struggled with his weight prior to that.  I don’t find it coincidental that he was able to maintain the weight loss until the pregnancy and change in habits that accompanied it for both of us.

My husband has gained a couple of pounds.  I actually appreciate it, because it’s comforting.

I can’t imagine how this is going to be when I’m pregnant. SO already gets cravings and needs for chocolate when I’m PMSing. Sealed

My Darling Husband definitely has. I am usually a runner and make Darling Husband join few once or twice a week, no to mention we are usually fairly active (brisk walks, hiking, etc.) which has all changed as I nearEd the end of my pregnancy.  Also, the change in my eating habits has of course  affected his.  He isn’t the type to be motivated to do these things on his own so he definitely has some excess  pudge around the middle…the other day he told me his pants are starting to not fit πŸ™‚

My husband gained 20 pounds our first baby! I think he was stress eating on top of whenever I’d crave something like a sundae he’d have one too even though he normally doesn’t eat sweets. His friends teased him that his belly was getting bigger than mine at one point.

This always cracks me up, when the guy has pregnancy symptoms, too, including weight gain. I know my Darling Husband will use it as an excuse to eat everything in sight…he has said that before. Can’t wait, haha.

No, but I don’t think he’s put on an ounce since he was 16, so I’d have been surprised if he had. And he probably would have whined a lot about it if he had, so I’m glad he didn’t, lol.

I’m going to guess he has although he’d proabbly never admit it πŸ™‚ He’s been having ice cream or some other treat every night after dinner for the past month or two even though I don’t! He’s also started slacking on the gym time but still manages to go with me usually once on the weekends. πŸ™‚

@Running Elley:  My Darling Husband lost weight too! He started running a whole lot more since it started to get nicer out, and totally lost weight. While he looks great, I’m not going to lie in that it’s mildly annoying :o)

Not yet, but I’m only 11w.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.  When I eat ice cream, so does he!

Mine is losing weight… I hate him! πŸ˜‰ I am proud of him for sticking to a diet and working out more, but it just sucks to see the number on the scale go up each week for me. But hopefully his motivation will rub off on me when it’s time to lose the baby weight.
