    OK.  So here is my dilema. We ordered our save the dates.  Goregous magnets.  The photos the layout everything in it is perfect accept for one thing.  There is a huge typo in the one of the words. Instead of it saying together it says togethater!  I believe that when I did the spell check that I hit the ignore button twice instead of once on accident and then when we reviewed them and when the lab had the order not one person noticed this or addressed it.  I have 200 save the dates with this on them and cant' afford to reorder them.  I keep trying to contact the company and they are def screwing me over.  What is funny about this is how appropiate this mispelling is to eric and I.  We both suck at spelling!!! It is something we get made fun of for a lot.

    My question is should I turn it into a joke and send a little typed out note with them saying something alon the lines of   "We went through all the steps to guarentee beautiful save the dates and while it glance they are just that we decided to keep the details of it all personal in unique.  Think we nailed on the save the dates, wait till you get to the reception! LOL.. Can't wait to see you all there!"  Or should I just ignore it and hope noone notices it and/or cares.

    advice welcome from all.  thanks!

    wow, really sorry to hear about your magnets! And that the company won't help you is unfortunate..

    If it were me, I'd probably write the note to help laugh it off. I think what you have thought of is good.

    Is there no way to "save" them? Maybe with a little sticker or something? or would that look even more obvious..hmm.

    A joke works, or maybe you could take a red marker and underline the mispelt word than look for opportunities to mispell words for other parts of your wedding on purpose. I think this could be kinda silly, fun and personal.

    I can't tell if misspelling guarantee in the note was a mistake, too, but it might be really cute to just put typos throughout the whole thing.

    I agree with Jacqi...turn it into a joke. I think your guests will get a kick out of it.

    I'd do the joke thing too, but just misspell 1 or 2 key words.  sorry to hear about that!  Glad you're not terribly upset, b/c it's just the save the date.  Get a proofreader for your invites and you'll be golden ;)

    I love the idea of a fun note, but the text of yours doesn't really reference the spelling error and if I didn't know the reason for it I might be confused. What about something along the lines of, "This is what happens when two people who can't spell get "togethater" and fall in love! Can't wait to see you at the wediding!"

    I work in the graphic field and once a customer apporves a proof, and signs off on it, even if it's got a glaring misspelling, we print.

    They're not screwing  you over.  They printed what you approved.

    @snmcdowell: Genius!

    Definitely go with snmcdowells joke :)

    I'm sorry the company won't co-operate, but usually once you click okay they print exactly what you have written- even if there are errors. Sucks... but they print so many things they don't have time to proof each one!

    I think a joke would be a good idea.  When we printed the notice in the newspaper, we didn't notice that the name was mispelled in the little border on top of the notice (if they got it right in the body, couldn't they get it right in the top part too?).  We had to pay half the price to get it printed again the next Sunday.
