I’ve been to Italy several times with my fi, and 3 of those times I thought he might propose while we were away. I was eventually right but the first two trips I think I would have enjoyed more if I hadn’t been wondering “This is a gorgeous moment… will he propose??” or “Look at that view! That’s a view to get engaged in front of!” (I know it’s easy to say let it go when you’re not the one waiting!)

You both know you’re heading towards an engagement, you have something of a timeframe (within a year), and you’re getting to go to a wonderful country full of good food, good wine, good weather, and gelato! Where are you going in Italy?

I agree with ukbea the more you focus on whether he will propose or not just kills the joy of having fun. go to Italy and just enjoy the moment,

Speaking from experience i couldnt wait for my ex FI to propose to me i knew the time, date and place of the proposal as months went on i realised that i didnt want to be engaged or i wasnt sure anymore…

Just relax and I’m sure when he is ready he will propose…

You’re going to have a wonderful time with memories made anyway. You know it’s coming so don’t over think the moments.

As others have said, try to enjoy this holiday for what it is and put a possible proposal out of your head.
