Hmm. I actually don't love the look of that. I generally like different dresses that have something cohesive to them. For for some reason, that just isn't working for me.
This one wedding I was in she went to the JCrew site and said this is the color and fabric I want and I love these three dresses - choose one and don't all of you be the same. It worked well. We had some guidance but still got some choice.
I think that bride picked out the dreses for the girls, but she picked out a unique one for each of them to complement their style and shape best.
@bvig: I think I am going to have to do something along those lines. I would love for someone to tell me to go out and find any LBD that I wanted, so I guess I just assumed that everyone else would too. You know where assuming gets you...

That's exactly what I would want, and pics like this make me want it more! lol
I'm doing something similar with a redish/pinkish color theme. Ilove the wayit looks.
@tammy, guests would easily know who was standing up front with the bride and who isn't. Also, most guests don't dress up that fancy to attend a wedding that they would be mistaken for bridesmaids, nor do they wear the colors that the couple has chosen for the wedding.

I came across this somewhere online, and am drooling now LOL. I would LOVE to be able to do something like this, but I've asked my BMs to get their own LBD, and that amount of freedom is freaking them out haha. They just don't know what to do with so little guidance (a few have actually told me they wish I would tell them what dress to get!), so I can only imagine if I was going for a look this different! I'm just so not a fan of having everyone looking the same.
