The people on there don't seem all that fat to me. It's nice that they're happy, but kind of sad that they feel that it is remarkable for "fat people" to find love.
I know numerous overweight people who have found love... doesn't seem that unusual to me. Kind of like if there was a "museum of short love". But apparently these people all willingly submitted their story, so they must feel that this site fits them. Seems kind of sad that that is what defines them.
I think it's offensive. Is there a museum of "skinny" love? Um probably not
As long as the world continues to view obesity as primarily a character flaw I think that any voluntary, positive evidence that a weight problem and love aren't mutually exclusive is welcome.
I enjoyed reading the stories--considering submitting my own!
These people aare voluntarily submitting their photos to that site so I guess they are proud to be a part of it and dont find it offensive. I personally dont know why they are making it seem as if its such a rare find for pluz sized people to find love, If I were plus size I might be offended..
Growing up in all the movies and T.V. shows only the pretty, skinny people find love. When I was little we didn't have Shrek and I honestly didn't think anybody would ever love me because I was chubby. Everybody used to make fun of me and tell me I would end up an old maid. It's sad but a lot of people feel this way. Of course real life is not that way but sometimes it's hard to see it until you finally find love yourself. When you do find it, of course you are happy because you didn't think that option was available to you. I honestly didn't think anybody would ever love me! Seeing a website like this when I was younger would have helped me to see that all kinds of people find love and real life is not like T.V.
It didn't help that all of my sisters, aunts, and even my grandma hit the lottery with the genepool! The only ones who were overweight are my mom and me and my mom was always dieting trying to slim down. As a young girl seeing that I thought not being skinny was the worst thing in the world. There was a point when my mom wouldn't even call me down for dinner because she wanted me to lose weight.
funny... if there was a site that said "anorexic love" or "black love", people would be offended, but it seems that it is always ok to categorize people as "fat"... i find it offensive.

Looking at plus size wedding dresses and somehow stumbled across this nifty little club. I don't know whether to laugh or to be offended. Thoughts?
