I wish I could be of more help but I am struggling with this issue as well. My father had 2 girls so we are the end of the family name.
I definitely struggled with the same choice. I loved my middle name but also wanted to keep my maiden name as well while taking my hubby's last name. I would have kept it all and had two middle names, but Social Security kind of made the choice for me. Turns out that my name was way too long to fit on my social security card, so I dropped my original middle name, kept my maiden name, and then added on hubby's surname. I'll keep my original middle name in the family though! It's going to be the middle name of our daughter (if/when we have a daughter)!.

Since my wedding is only 2 months and 1 week away
,I've been thinking a lot about changing my name after the wedding. I have no issues with taking his last name, it's something I always expected to do, but I've been back and forth about my current middle and last. I like my middle name, so I kind of want to keep it, but since I'm my father's only child, I also sort of feel like I should keep my last name too. For awhile I had decided that I would simply tack on his last name, and have two middle names. Now, I'm not so sure. Is anyone else struggling with the choice? What did you decide to do?
