    Hi bees! Since I'm getting married super soon, I've really got to figure out my ring situation! So I've put together 3 sets and I need help choosing! I'm starting cosmetology school next month, so I need something that's going to be low maintence, you know? I'm pretty worried about shampooing someone's hair and losing a stone down the drain!

    Marquise solitaire with a black diamond chevron band:

    Black and white diamond twist band (worn alone):

    Modern all sterling pear solitaire with flush set diamond mobius band:

    (Obviously I would choose one of the 4. Leaning towards the top right)

    Thanks so much for your help, ladies!!! ***I don't have an e-ring yet and I decided I would choose based on what band I would wear it with.***

    I have a diamond twist (only one color) and I LOVE it. It is very low maintenance and it doesnt snag at all!

    I'm confused, do you already have that marquise solitaire as an e-ring?

    @littlemissmango nope! I don't have a ring yet at all, due to my own indecisiveness. I've been wearing a qvc diamonique stand-in.

    I picked the first set, because it's most my style.

    Your choices are progressively unique - although none are the standard solitare-plus-chanel-set-band combo :) -- what level of "You" are you hoping for?

    Thanks, daydreamwanderer! I'm a tattooed...um, anti-bride? I never dreamed of the perfect wedding and big princess gown growing up. =] So, I definitely want something that is the most "me". The trouble is, I don't typically wear jewelry, thus I'm having a hard time deciding! Granted, there are traditional elements to all the rings as well as the wedding. Everyone expects me to wear a black dress, but I can't wait to wear a white dress! So, I'd say I'm mostly offbeat with a touch of traditional. I want a ring that represents that!

    Aghh! I forgot about this one! I don't know what kind of band I'd wear with it, either plain white gold, a thin diamond band, or a thin black diamond band. =] Decisions, decisions!

    Well shit. I just voted and then you put up that picture of the black diamond with the halo band and I totally prefer that to all the others.

    Haha, sorry texaslawgirl!!! I'm unsure about it. I love how it looks, but it's a 1/3 carat total weight. I definitely wouldn't mind a 1/3 center stone, but total weight? That seems like it may be really small and there isn't a hand picture. =/ And would a curved band be able to sit flush?

    I think if you're gonna be shampooing hair and stuff, the twist band is the best.  There's nothing sticking up on it that can catch in someone's hair or scratch them while you're working on them.  I'm a physical therapist and have a solitaire e-ring, and sometimes when I'm working on a patient, especially on their neck, I feel like it kinda gets in the way.  And my ring is small-ish (0.5 carat).  I think a marquis especially would scratch someone b/c it's so pointy.

    @rachel077 that's a good point! I don't want to poke anyone!

    New and revised: it's down between the twist ring and a black diamond solitaire with a white diamond eternity band.

    So, I slept on it! I'm taking everything out of the running except for the twist band and the sterling set.

    I love the twist ring and I've loved it since I found it in Nov.

    I don't know why, but I love the sterling rings. I think I can visualize myself wearing them a little easier than I can the twist ring.

    Grr! I wish I could try them all on! Too bad they're online only. =[

    Black diamond solitaire with the chevron band!

    (But I"m biased, because I have a black diamond e-ring with 14 black diamond accents, and a black diamond half-eternity band but I was debating on a chevron because they look so neat!)

    @peterpotamus: Metalicious, she's on Etsy! =]

    Thanks everyone for voting and commenting! I have finally come to a decision! As we're on an extremely tight budget (thanks to my being unemployed since Jan and getting ready to start school), I'm going to get the sterling pear and the mobius with the diamonds as my set...for now. I would hate to spend a few hundred dollars on a diamond ring(s) and then be petrified to wear it without insurance. So, when we can afford both the ring and insurance, I'm going to upgrade to the black and white diamond twist. I really, really love that ring and everyone's responses have definitely added fuel to the fire!

    Thank you all!

    xo

    I would say black diamond with the halo or the twist, but I am really traditional.
