I’m not a fan.  Switching between the boards isn’t as simple, the times are all messed up and the related posts show up too big before the comment box.

It is easier to read the actual text at least.  Looking around it looks like we lost the OP boxes and I haven’t picked up on anything new to designate their posts.  That was one of the most recent changes I remember and I really liked it, so I’m sorry to see that it might be gone.

Hi guys! The time stamp issue should be resolved within the next 12 hours. Not sure if the OP boxes are coming back, but I will update you on that tomorrow!

I also just wanted to add that things are going to change up a bit as our tech team works out the kinks!

AB Bride:  good point about the OP boxes, that is a fantastic feature that I came to rely on.

And maybe perhaps its because im on a tablet, each page only has 10 or so posts and then it says Next Page. It does’t indicate the amount oftotal pages or allow you to jump to a specific page. That sucks.

I rely on the message indicator to check for responses to posts, etc.  Right now it says I have 100s of unread messages (when it should be zero–these are all old messages).  There is no way to select all the messages and mark them as all read–so that is kind of bugging me.

I also don’t like the position of related topics above the “leave a comment” box.

The posts are easier to read and the “helpful” icon/marker is a good touch.

Glad to hear the OP box is coming back – I rely on that feature!

Also (on an iphone) I am finding that the advertising is getting in the way a lot more.

It pains me to dislike because I know that it’s the result of a lot of hard work around here.

I really do not like it though. It’s an inefficient use of screen space, both how the boards are displayed and the threads themselves. This makes is a pain to read and navigate.

I’m optimistic for what the next few days will bring. It’ll certainly make or break the Bee experience for a lot of us.

Excited about being mobile enabled.  The new look is fresh but I was so used to the old system that a change this big will take some getting used to!  I have faith that once I get used to it I’ll like it better than the old system.

Also hope the OP box comes back, that feature was SO useful.  Before that I’d be much less likely to scan for updates from the OP because the threads get too long too fast.

One thing I absolutely loved about weddingbee boards was how user friendly it was. I am really disappointed with the new boards 🙁 I know it takes a while to adjust to change, but I honestly don’t know if I will ever accept it. I’ll probably frequent the boards much less often now (probably a good thing, haha!).

I don’t like that there are less post topics on the homepage, it’s not as easy to see which topics the posts are, the comments of the posts kind of blend into one (compared to the alternating green and grey comment box on the old boards). And I just tried to delete my inbox messages, where it only lists about 8 messages on the one page, compared to about 20-30, and it’s not letting me delete more than one message at a time.

I also don’t like that the boards don’t say who the most recent commenter made by on a post, that was a really handy feature.

I’m really really not liking it 🙁 I used to rave to my web developer SO about how awesome and amazingly user friendly the weddingbee boards were, and now they are not that at all. Ahh well.

Oh and I can’t seem to edit a post. Also the posts don’t say what topic they belong to. Ahhh so many things wrong with it, it’s making me really upset 🙁

I think its a lot easier to read and it looks a lot cleaner but some things definitely need changing. I don’t understand why the comment box is so far down the page, underneath the related topics. That makes no sense to me?

also it’s difficult to understand which posts are relevant on the main boards page. I understand having a sentence to give you an idea of what it’s about but it’s clumsy and all the posts seem to run together.

i am loving the ‘helpful’ button and I think it’s more mobile friendly now though.

Bridey77:  It’s ok. Actually all the white everywhere is hurting my eyes. The green may not have been my favorite color, but it was easier on the eyes and the different shades made it easier for me to read. Also it doesn’t save any of your pics now, so you have to upload every pic, every time you want to post it. I’ll have to create a whole WB album on my computer just to find which one I want to post. If they don’t change that I’ll probably just not post a lot of pics.

Also, the messages I did have, the link did not bring me to my message, just the post in general. One was an 8 page thread. Yeah, I’m not searching an 8 page thread for the one message to me.
