Diamond contact lenses? Anyone heard of these?

“Instead of offering a diamond ring to propose, people will use diamond-studded contact lenses,” predicts creator Chandrashekhar Chawan.
They cost $15,000.

I wear contacts and sometimes having just a speck of dust makes them uncomfortable. I wonder how these feel…I can’t imagine that they are comfortable.
Then again, I wear shoes that require me to put on flats before I walk home from the office. Some people might feel the same way about them.

another thing they are doing now is drilling a hole in your tooth and putting diamonds or jems in it… another thing I say no to..lol

The creator says they are catching on with Bollywood stars. I think they should stick to picture of them in the lenses…not the picture of the dude on the bottom left.
They sort of remind me of Thriller.
@Sage Marie: in the article, the creator says his wife having diamonds put in her teeth gave him the idea.

Wow, that’s really creepy. I can’t imagine my day to day friends doing this. But I know someone in the world likes them 🙂

@Sage Marie: Many of my family and friends overseas (Easter Europe) have had this for years! Personally I think it looks ridiculous on most people, my one cousin has it on temporarily so at least it can be taken off.
Not only do these contacts look creepy they must be so painful!

That would be a big NO for me. But I can’t wear contacts anyway

So awkward! I’ll stick to diamonds on my rings and other assorted jewelry (including body piercings) but not on my eyes or teeth. That weirds me out!

Those are obviously gorgeous and entirely reasonably priced and a rational expense to include in your wedding budget.
insert sarcasm above.
