Seriously?! I can't believe someone said that to you. I would say "Absolutely not, our wedding pictures will show both of us just as we are, because we love each other just as we are". That oughta make 'em feel like the jerks they are.
Omg I can't believe people would actually say something to you like that!! Seriously, what is wrong with people?!
That is so unbelievably rude of them! I would ask them why they would think you would want a picture that doesn't look like your FI!
@julies1949: Love this!
Seriously, I cannot believe anyone would say that. I don't even think that kind of question deserves an answer. I would just look them right in the eyes and say very calmly, "I really cannot believe you just asked me that," and then walk away.
@Neva: Exactly.
My uncle has a really bad lazy eye, and he has learned over the years to just joke about it. I can't believe people would actually say something like that
I'd incredulously reply, "Are you serious?" and then walk away without giving them a chance to answer.
Oh my god!! That is beyond rude... I don't even know how I would react to that! I would probably say something terrible like "no, we're saving money there to fix YOUR _____insert something wrong with person here___". and then I'd feel terrible... like that person should be.
I have a lazy eye and wear glasses. When I don't wear my glasses ppl always do that to me, it's really annoying. I haven't gotten that comment yet but if I do, oh boy, I think I'll tell them where to go and how to get there lol.
I literally just snorted in indignation reading this. I have wine running down my face. Lovely...
Anyway, what?!?! Not only would I stab them in the eye with the fork, I'd tell them that the camera would be shortly stuck somewhere in them altogether more uncomfortable. How rude!
@Moose1209: awww that's super ooshy gooshy lovey. I like it.
@julies1949: LOVE
@eeniebeans: that's exactly how I feel too.
@Neva: I didn't answer I just kind of stood there with my mouth open. Honestly it hurt at first and then the anger came.
I'm sorry for insensitve people. I bet they didn't mean to be as insensitive as it sounded.
Just wondering, but my cousin was born with a lazy eye and it got fixed. (I forget how, surgery?)
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: What a jerk! How insensitive and rude!
I'd come up with some super snarky comeback and probably piss off a bunch of people.
(My FI has teeth that are pretty messed up. Little kids ask him if he's a vampire. He can't help it and I know it hurts him still when people ask about it. It's so frustrating that people can't keep their mouths shut!)
@julies1949: I would change "insensitive people" to a choice expletive, but this is perfect.
WOW! I can't beleive people are asking you about photoshopping your wedding photos. I would definately be offended as well.
Wow, what is wrong w/ people? How can someone think that's an appropriate thing to talk about? makes no sense! I'd have to say something snide back.
I liked the response about photoshopping out insensitive people. If this was a poll, I'd vote for that one.
People are such idiots. I hope that person wasn't invited to the wedding.
Wow, that's really rude, my mom struggles with a slight one but she can't see out of it at all. I would be furious if someone said that to her.
But just a naive question...I always look people in the eye when I'm talking to them, but I get nervous when looking at someone with a severe lazy eye because I don't know where to look. Should I look in the eye that isn't lazy? Or the other one? This question isn't meant to be rude, I just feel really bad if I ever look around
wow thats surprising people would say that! my brother in law is crossed eye so sometimes you cant tell if he is looking at you or not, but the more you get to know him you kinda figure it out.
@SweetRose2011: My FI is also legally blind in his left eye. Maybe that is why it bothers me so much. You can tell he completely depends on his right eye for everything and he still plays sports and things. He amazes me.. Anyway! lol
It has been so long now I don't actually notice the eye drifting. When we first started dating I would make a rule to look at the bridge of his nose so that he couldn't determine which eye I was looking at. I do that with other people now too just in case. It is very hard to tell that you're looking at their nose.
so rude. That is so ridiculous. People amaze me. FI has a really noticeable lazy eye too. We make fun of the situation though lol
@Elvis: No thank God they're not invited or I would have probably uninvited them to their face. It was just uncessary.
@Mrs.ChubbyBunny:That's a good idea! I've always worried I'm going to hurt their feelings and I'm not sure how sensitive they are about it. My aunt has a lazy eye too and I just switch looking at eyes once on a while, though I'm sure that's much more obvious.
That is so gross...where do people get off thinking they have the right to make comments like that?
someone actualy said that?! People are so rude! I'm so sorry people can be so cruel:(
@Gabrielle123: I actually find it quite endearing, I always have. I get offended by comments more than he does.
@PinkMagnolia: His lazy eye is the result of a surgery and we have declined any corrective surgeries since it wouldn't bring his vision back anyway... :(
RUDE! My bf has a lazy eye and I have never heard anyone say anything about it. To be honest I did not even notice he had one until we had been dating for like six months. I don’t know if you can have different severities of a lazy eye? Plus you are marrying the man lazy eye and all. Why would you want to change him in a picture? People these days!
OMG! Are you serious? Did they not get a follow up question because you immediately strangled them to death? Cause I would have. What is wrong with people?
I would look at them innocently and ask, "why would I need to photoshop his eye?" They would would respond "Umm because of his...(shift uncomfortably)...you know is...eye" I would wait a beat or two to make them uncomfortable. "I still don't understand why you think I should photoshop it out, please explain to me why I would even think about changing anything about my wonderful, perfect future husband."
People just suck sometimes! I had a lazy eye while growing up
(had 2 surgeries in middle school to correct) but I still remember people asking me things like 'are you looking at me?' in the middle of a conversation. I still to this day have issues with making eye contact during conversations because of this. BTW...Im all for using a fork if necessary.
OMG I cannot believe how rude this is!
"why would I need to photoshop his eye?"
Such a good response! That would really make them squirm!
@mmsva: I really like this. I wish I had been quicker on my toes.
@misskittykakes: I'm sorry hun to hear that you're still a little self conscious about it.

My FI has a lazy eye. People mention it constantly. How do I not get offended by this?
Someone asked me today: "are you paying your photographer extra to photoshop-fix his eye?"
I am so beyond peeved right now. What would you say to this?
