Well, I didn't have a clue about flowers either... In all honesty, it was one of the things I didn't care too much about. I gave my florist some general ideas and let him take control. He did a great job, but I could see how not all brides would want to to the same!
I love the pinwheel idea!

And the nice thing about silk flowers is that you don't have to worry about what type you get. Just get the colors you want. They are always in season!
That sounds so lovely! Sounds like a wedding like that needs some gerber daisy bouquets
@White That's the pinwheel DIY I was looking at! I found the inspiration for the centerpieces elsewhere, but liked that DIY best
@Wendy I do love the gerber daisys! And those colors are perfect! I think they match the happy and cute sort of feel of the pinwheels too.

I am so bad a decorating and figuring out themes! I have some ideas, but I don't know if they'll go together or anything. I'm not *super* concerned with everything being perfect... But I'd like it all to be nice! And that's where I turn to you, Bees! You're all super creative!
We're doing a small Friday morning ceremony with a brunch reception that will have swing dancing at The Inn and Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit (the Inn specifically.) Our colors are based on my favorite summer fruits: peach and raspberry! I'm wearing a tea-length strapless dress and probably ballet flats. And the girls are wearing knee-length raspberry dresses (picking their own style)
I am CLUELESS as to what I want to do for flowers... which is only made worse by the fact we're DIYing silk to save money (My friend is great at arranging flowers and I've found a great variety for cheap...) I have the COLOR ideas in my head... but as far as flower types... I've spent hours searching for inspiration and nothing really grabs me... I'm thinking girls with peach flowers... me with raspberry colored ones? Or maybe the girls with peach colored pinwheels? And little pinwheel boutonnieres???
Then for centerpieces I'm thinking about doing pinwheels (mostly in the color scheme) in mason jars with some ribbon... And some tables would have peach tablecloths and others raspberry?
Does all that even work together? Is there any other decorative pieces I should add? I mean, the venue is gorgeous on its own... Any ideas would be more than welcome! Decor is just the part of planning I've been dreading the most- I feel like I'm just scrambling in the dark- I have no idea what I'm doing :S
Thanks bees!
