@AnaA:  You’d best make it clear to your Mom now that decisions about your wedding will not be made as a result of blackmail.

I somehow doubt that your Mom has the power to have your Dad refuse to escort you down the aisle. If  she doesn’t like your plan, she and her husband can be seated just before the processional, then the bridal party and lastly you and your Dad.

@AnaA:  You are correct. Many a bride has had to confront her parents with her expectations that they behave civilly with each other, not just at the wedding, but at any event associated with it e.g. rehearsal dinner.
