@Justabridetobe:  Hi! You start a pack on the first day of your period, or the Sunday (Sunday just means you won’t have your period on the weekend, which is always good). 🙂

As for when you need to start taking it, I’d start a couple or three months before so it can get your period lined out and regular, and to make absolutely sure you’re protected.

@Justabridetobe:  Although I would highly suggest yalking with your GYN about all of the types I take seasonique and so I only get a period once every three months. If you started that now you would be able to have a much large cushion to avoid your period for your honeymoon and wedding and have your body adjust to the medicine and not have any surprise break through bleeding. Pills (whether one month sets or three) revulate your cycle so even if irregular off of them most people become regular when on them so you can trust during your “placebo” week is when you will have your period although it may not start on the first day of that placebo set. I also have very light periods naturally and find now on bc they only last two days and usually start around the tuesday of the placebo week so starting early to figure out what your body will do on your medicine (and give yourself time to switch if you have any unwanted to a certain type of pill) is really helpful. Also getting into that routine of taking it everyday takes some time so I would say the earlier the better!
