Okay, So I know this may seem like a silly question, but the box says to start your BC on the first day of your mentral cycle....Does that Stop your period or do have it at the same time as you would? ... Kinda confused... I was on BC a long time ago, but can't remember how that worked out.. and is there anyway to manipulate your period with BC? I dont want to have my period on my honeymoon :P

It might make your period that month shorter but I don't htink it will completly stop it.

You can manipulate your period if you want.  Just make sure you do so by starting your next pack earlier than you usually would (NEVER LATER!!).  I did it gradually but you might not have that option.

I have not heard of this, back in the day when I started the pill, I had to begin on the Sunday after my period had ended...

It won't stop your period, but it may be shorter than normal!

Not a stupid question.  I don't believe it will "stop" your period.  What you're having now is a regular natural period like we're all supposed to have.  Your period on the pill is a "fake" period because the pill fakes your body into thinking you are already pregnant.

Yes, you can manipulate your period with the pills.  My advice would be, take your first box when you're supposed to.  You should expect to get your period during the last week of "reminder" pills.  Figure out if you're going to have your period during the honeymoon by counting the 28 day cycles.  Then, if you are, you can skip a period by starting a new pack instead of taking the reminder pills.

    Hope this made sense.

I just read on the pack that it said " take the first one within the first 24 hours of the first day of your cycle." idk, but thanks for the help you guys! :)

Normally that means after you stop your period.  When I was on BC I started it the Sunday after my period started.  If it is your first month it won't stop your period, but may make it lighter than normal.  It usually takes a couple/few months for your body to get used to it and then your period should be really regular and all that fun stuff.
