Have you ladies seen this site!?  http://www.theplunge.com/  A friend shared it with me the other day and I was literally laughing out loud. I shared it with my FI who also got a good laugh from it, but found some good advice (he signed us up for dance lessons shortly after!).  Take a look for a good laugh and maybe even some wedding help for your man.

I love it too! Absolutely hysterical. But I don't really see my guy being on it as much as I'm on Weddingbee. :)

That's hilarious! They have a whole section on  "wedding p0rn" and how sites that the knot are brainwashing us. Sure, some of the things they cite are pretty obsurd, but their arguments are just as bad!

I won't be showing this site to Mr.Rain!

The website was really funny and well written.  I especially liked their "Bachelor Party Ethics, how far is too far?" article.

One thing that kind of bothered my was their section on "you cheated. now what?".  It pretty much says that if you cheat on your fiance and she is not likely to find out about it, you shouldn't tell her because it will hurt her.  Seriously?  They think it's better to enter a marrage with a HUGE lie than it is to hurt the girls feelings?

Yeah, I know, it's not real advice but most of their other stuff made a lot of sense so that article bothered me.

My FI loved it!  (And it's like pulling teeth to get him to open and read wedding-related links I send him.)  Hilarious.  Thanks!  :)

daisybride, I feel you about some of the stuff in the website.  some of it is really funny, hilarious and accurate, but other parts of it (the part you spoke of regarding the cheating) as well as the article about "Is she the one?"  Pretty much it broke it down as saying that you shouldnt look at your girl as "the one" but rather is she "the one out of many who would work out okay enough"....ugh.  Are they trying to be funny? Or is that really how the male psyche works?  Ladies, Id like to think that we are all the most perfect person for our partners!  But i guess that is the author's way of trying to make light of marriage.

For what its worth, ive been grossly entertained by this site for the past few hours, cackling my head off, so I guess we can take it for what it is! :)

Honestly I felt the site trivialized marriage a bit. And the articles on "You Cheated. What Next?" was definitely too much.

The article on avoiding the Ultimatum and HOW to avoid the decision made me quite pissy and I especially didn't like the inclusion of how women "Over 35" in it.

It is funny..but what if guys read it and take it as fact?

Yeah, I found The Plunge to perpetuate male stereotypes. I'm lucky that my FI isn't a walking stereotype :)

I love that website!  WeddingBee and ThePlunge are the two sites I use for wedding help, depending on what it is I'm needing help with.  It helps keep things in perspective (unlike sites like The Knot, which ThePlunge mentions more than once Tongue out).  They've been a great help to me on the reception stuff.
