I used to worry about jinxing things, but I think that TTC is a process that you can only survive if you stay positive!
So I'm starting a new 2WW thread, because I think that we're all just "Pre-BFP."
Fortunately, most of the bees graduated from the last one! So I'm hoping they send some baby dust our way!
I'm not *quite* in the 2ww, but I will be in less than 48 hours. I triggered today. DH left today for 4 weeks of offshore work, so we are done and done this month! Whatever happens, happens. I took Clomid for the first time this month, and it thinned my lining. So we have an extremely small chance, but still a chance!
Anyone else in the 2ww wait? Symptoms? Concerns?
I like to call my mine the FWW (four week wait) due to the fact I'm in the same boat as Ottawa Bride....9 days late. BFN two days ago. Le sigh.
Woohoo for a new thread! From the signs I've been getting I will be O'ing either tomorrow or the next day so I'm going to join a teensy bit early :)
I'm close to AF. It's going to happen Friday, Saturday, or BFP. My breasts are still super swollen and veiny. Cramps are kind of continuous dull feeling right now.
I'm almost in my TWW. Hopefully in the next couple days I will be officially.
Good luck carrieknitscake! Crossing my fingers for you!
@Running Elley: How are your opk's looking? I know they were getting there!
@carrieknitscake: You're still in the game! I'm crossing my fingers for you!
I am ovulating either today or tomorrow. I took an opk (along with my "positive" hpt - haha) and it was DARK, and the estrogen was really light...I'm not using the cbefm this month, but I know how to read the strips and am using those, so I am either O'ing right now, or tomorrow. The RE said it would be within 48 hours of me taking the trigger shot. I'm thinking positive, but still feel like next month is our month. Too many things were off this month - the thin lining definitely threw me! But I'll still take a BFP this month, I won't turn it down;)
@jholler25:My OPKs are getting darker every day! I have the wandfo ones and I'm not sure how dark they're actually going to get because I didn't use them last month but I’m temping too so I'm thinking that'll be my real indicator. My temp was holding steady and then it went up a tiny bit yesterday and today it dropped down to the lowest temp this cycle. From what I've read it usually drops right before it shoots up for O so I've got my fingers crossed for a high temp tomorrow or Saturday :)
Yay for you O'ing! I'm still hoping that this month is yours!
I tested on a First Response that said it has a 6 days before a missed period and still BFN!
I'm 2 DPO and I'm hoping this TWW speeds by - with lots of BFPs at the end! :)
I'm 8DPO (if I O'd on the "right" day). This morning I've had some slight cramps in my lady area that feel different from my normal PMS cramps. They're not very obvious and honestly if I wasn't over-analyzing EVERYTHING my body was doing right now, I doubt I'd have really noticed them much. It almost felt like a cramp in my bladder...if that makes sense? I have no clue how else to describe it. When I cough it's more obvious. My lady lumps are just a little more tender than normal but again, if I wasn't over analyzing? Wouldn't notice. :P No appetite changes at all. I don't know what else to even look for. Gah! I hate this! I just want this weekend to be here and be done with a BFP to look forward to!
@KansasPrincess11:Even little cramps are a good sign! Especially since you said that you don't usually start cramping until right before AF shows up :) And it's just about the right time to be implantation cramps possibly? Fingers crossed!
@Running Elley: I know! I'm REALLLLLY hoping!! (p.s. good memory on the cramps!) :)
We need some BFP's this month gals. Let's just say it's happening. Ok? Good. Glad we had that chat. :)
Good luck ladies! I am in the who knows how long wait at this point, and the longer it goes on, the more I actually want to be pregnant, even though we aren't trying.
@KansasPrincess11:Are you still planning to test on Saturday or are you going to wait longer?
@Running Elley: I'm not sure...probably, mainly because I can't wait. I'm a "I wanna know NOOOOOOOOOW!" kind of person. :) I would test today if I thought it would do any good, haha! I just know chances go up so much more the closer you get to AF's expected arrival. I saw stats on a thread at some point. Who knows. :) Technically aren't you supposed to wait until the day *after* your missed period? :/
@KansasPrincess11:Technically you are, yeah lol. But in reality I've never waited that long. I usually wait until at least 12 DPO though and if it's a BFN I don't start getting discouraged until 14DPO because it really should be accurate by then.
@Running Elley: Ok, so Sunday will technically be 12DPO. I'll see if I can hold out until then.
I also just read that being really thirsty can be an early sign...that's DEF something I've had. Seriously. Like insane amounts of water every day, all day.
@Running Elley: Gaaaaaaaaah Sunday couldn't POSSIBLY be farther away!!!!
@KansasPrincess11:We will help you stay strong! I know I'm going to need people to hold me back from testing…probably starting next week lol. I will probably have DH hide my HPTs again like as soon as I O so that I'm not tempted!
@Running Elley: Really, I never knew! Every time I feel like it could be our month, I keep getting BFNs. I'm on about 11-12 DPO since I don't know if my AF is expected on Friday or Saturday! I'm sitting here trying not to irrationally cry over this. The super smart (6 days early) test says no, so I don't know what to make of it. Am I going to AF or BFP?
@Running Elley: DH has no clue how it all works. He pretty much thinks that you BD and you can take a test the next day, haha! He's so preoccupied with school this semester that he probably wouldn't get it anyway :P He just knows that it's awesome that he has guaranteed BD for about a week ;-) I just have this feeling that tomorrow I"m going to wake up and POAS. HA! I'll wait until at least Saturday...thats just a little closer to the 26th. It'll make me feel less guilty when I get a BFN and give me hope for the rest of the weekend that "oh I just took it too early" :P If I'm not pg this month, it's going to be a ROUGH week next week. I apologize in advance if that happens. There are just so many little things making me think this is IT but I'm pretty sure I say that every month :(
I just want to say that TTC will probably end up getting me fired. It's all I can think about and I am a USELESS employee! Like a REALLY BAD employee!
I have spent hours today trying to figure out if my pill arsenal is complete enough for my lining issues!
Nope, it's not. I need something called L-arginine. Dammit. I wish I would have know that yesterday!
@jholler25: I AGREE! I'm on WB WAAAAAY more than I ever was as a bride! If my boss knew? Oh holy hell...
How easily can you get that pill??
@jholler25: I switched to Rainbow Light prenatal this morning. Yeah for neon green pee. I googled it almost immediately to make sure that everything was okay. I google every little possible symptom in hopes of a BFP.
@carrieknitscake: Google is a scary tool! There are days that I clear my history of googling b/c if DH saw "what do implantation cramps feel like" right next to "How to check your cervix" that might lose a little of the romance, haha!!!
No clue when or if I O'ed, but I'm on CD31, so I'm considering myself in the 2WW! I usually have 40ish day long cycles.
Best of luck to everyone this month!
@MrsMaine: Whoooo!!! I'm hoping for some BFP's this month! I hope you O'd!!!
@KansasPrincess11:Yepp I totally feel you. If I don't get a BFP this month it'll be rough too. That's why it is not an option not to! lol Oh btw did your cervix googling help? I'm still so lost on how to check it!
@carrieknitscake:You could definitely be too early!! Implantation doesn't usually occur until at leastttt 7DPO, most times a little later. After that is when the HCG that the test will pick up starts being produced. You're still in the game!
@jholler25:Ummm me too. I'm a HORRIBLE employee since this TTC process began. There's no way I can work all day long with all of this going on in my brain. I always have something up on my computer so when I have a random question pop into my head I can consult Dr. Google or talk to the bees lol.
@MrsMaine:Good luck!! :)
@Running Elley: Nope. I think I was even more confused after reading about it so I gave up, haha!!! I'll leave that to the dr. with the latex gloves :)
@KansasPrincess11:Darn!! It seems like it is a really good indicator of what's going on up in there but I can't tell what's what lol.
@Running Elley: I know, right?! I just can't figure it out. Not my strong point, haha! I have a feeling if I told DH about it he'd be MORE than happy to "check things out" LOL!!!
@KansasPrincess11:LOL how sweet of him! Haha
So I'm such a dork. I was just thinking about how awesome it would be if we could have a little camera or something always on our ovaries so we could see what the heck is going on? Oh, that follicle's about to drop? A beeping alert warns you. Oh, a little sperm found the egg? Ding ding ding!
I'm officially in my first TWW! (and I'm hoping to be in the pre-BFP club) I'm 5/6 DPO and am reading into EVERY little sign! Hoping for a BFP but understand it's a litle unrealistic of my first month of TTC.
So excited to see some BFPs in this group!
@Running Elley: AH! YES!!! We should invent that! Imagine the $$....we'd never have to sit at these desks again! :-)
We invited some friends over for supper on Saturday so I'll have something to distract myself with during the day. I'll probably make something way more elaborate than I generally would, haha!
@Cole B:Sending you some sticky baby dust!
@KansasPrincess11:Right??? You would think that with technology the way it is we could have something like that….like a microscopic constant U/S. You could log on to a website to see what's going on at any given time, like a nanny cam lol. Okay, I really need to step back to reality!
I'm already trying to think of ways to distract myself through the next 2 weeks! Tomorrow night my cousin is having a gender reveal party, Saturday is a baby shower for one of my friends, Sunday I'm planning on going to a yoga class….etc. I need to book up next weekend! At least I'll be busy. Apparently everyone else who I know has lives that revolve around being pregnant/babies right now so there's no way to get my mind off of it but at least I'll be busy.
@Running Elley: Oh...so basically NO stress on the baby stuff being in your mind ALL.THE.TIME. Eeks. :( That's how it is w/me too, everyone's got baby stuff going on all over the place. I DO love the idea of a gender reveal party!!! I TOTALLY want to do that. Our florist just did hers this week, she has two older girls (8 and 6 I think?) and they had a huge box in the driveway and had the girls open the box top and a whole bunch of balloons floated up into the air and away. SO. CUTE. But doesn't help distract me from the fact that EVERYONE is pg and EVERYONE is so blissfully happy. *sigh. What are the chances that I'd have 3 of my really close friends pg at the same time with due dates that are no more than a month apart?! I think I'm going to start my quilting...I have so much practicing to do before so I don't mess it all up. Haha!
@KansasPrincess11:That is the CUTEST idea! I love it!! My cousin is having every coming wear blue or pink according to what our guess is! It should be fun! Yepp all of my friends are pregnant too or starting to talk about wanting kids. And it's my grandma's favorite topic every time I see her! She doesn't know about our miscarriage so she doesn't know to lay off the pressure lol. Luckily my mom has been pretty good about it.
Hmmm I'm trying to think of something to focus on other than TTC. It's hard because there's nothing that will be so important to me that it'll totally wipe TTC from my brain lol.
@Running Elley: I LOVE that idea! Sooo cute! I'm REALLY hoping that we'll get our BFP this month and we'll know the sex by Christmas (I think that's usually the right amount of time??) and we can do a special dessert for dinner with our family on Christmas to announce it :P (I'm totally cheesy, had I told you that? haha!)
