My mom and I sat down last night and knocked out a bunch. If I had one single doubt about a dress, out it went.
I still can’t pick a silhouette, but I am down to 6 dresses (one that I’d forgotten to put on the list before, but I was quite enamored with)
1. Allure 2513 ($918)
2. David Tutera Darlene ($1078)
3. Mori Lee 1612 ($932)
4. David Tutera Goldie ($1123)
5. Allure 2613 ($998) Also has a cool 360 gif
6. Mori Lee 1861 ($952)
And here are the reference pictures of me:
Bees, I need your help! Getting down to 6 feels pretty good, but I still need to get down to 1. Help me pick them apart. If you’ve tried any of them on, how did they feel? Heavy? Hot? Itchy? Crazy uncomfortable? Talk to me about your immediate reactions to each dress. Which are you drawn to? I’m not worried about how they’ll look on me, just how the dresses look in general.
I love big dresses, but I’m still so drawn to fitted Allure. I’m having an afternoon wedding at a beautiful 60-year-old church in Atlanta. I’m usually very quiet and reserved, but I also know that the one day to shock everyone is my wedding day… which is probably why I can’t pick a shape. Normally, I’d go for a natural waist ballgown. But I’m torn 50/50 on whether or not I want to be brave and show my figure or be safe and just show my little waist.
I’m stumped. The comments on my last thread were really very helpful, and I made a less confusing poll this time.

I love the one you’re in in the last picture! That’s beautiful! I think that silouhette suits you better than the ballgowns.

I think you look best in the last picture…with the fitted lace mermaid. Gorgeous!

You look beautiful in that last dress you posted! You have a gorgeous figure, show it off 🙂 You’re slim and the amount of fabric in the ballgowns you tried on doesn’t really do you justice, I think.

@RunnerBride13: @miss forever: @MsMeow: It was okay. My mom didn’t like it. She said she prefers lace and tulle over just lace, and I have to agree. I would’ve ended up over budget with the two belts I wanted too.

The flicker photo is a Maggie Sottero photo. I wonder if you could have tulle/lace added where the front goes to the side? Sorry, I’m not great with taking the photos.

I think #4 which has a dropped waist would give you the best of both. It will show off a bit more of your figure than a ballgown, but also won’t look like you’re drowning in the dress. Although I still really like dress #3 for myself. 🙂 🙂

You have such a great figure – you need to show it off! That last real pic of you is amazing. I voted for the fitted allure for this reason.

You look great in that mermaid type dress!! The picture of you in the ball gown does nothing for your shape…you seem drowning in it! I really like the 2nd dress in the pictures of you, too.
I think you should knock out 2 and 4. Definitely look at that fit and flare/mermaid one!

5. 🙂 i think fit and flares/mermaids do your figure more favors.

Which one is the one you’re in in the last picture? Definitely that one.

I love how the last dress looks on you!!

@lauraashley09: 2 and the 2nd one in the pictures of me are almost identical dresses. The one I tried on is from Alfred Angelo and was $500 more expensive.
