Since I haven’t been on as much as usual for me, I thought I would post some pictures of the projects that have been taking my time away from the hive.
Aside from addressing and sending out the invites (so guests have time to arrange for Holiday Travel) here are some things I have been working on *please forgive the messy apartment!*:
When I bought this pillow @ Micheal’s I wasn’t a fan of the gold rings that came on it. So off they went. Instead I added a Burgundy ribbon with gold flecks in it. The loose ribbon at the top is what will hold our rings.
I couldn’t just leave the Flower Girl Pail plain after I fancied up my Brother’s pillow, so I added a little of the same ribbon to it. I really like the wine colored silk petals I filled the basket with. = )
In true matching fashion, I added the last of the ribbon (I only had one spool of it from x-mas clearence) I fixed up the guest book, too.
With the scrap ribbon left over from those, and my next project, I made a pretty bobby pin flower for our Niece’s hair. Sorry it’s a crappy cell phone pick. ; ) I think this is my fave creation so far.
I have also been trying to hammer out some easy/cheap/nice looking center pieces. Future Sister-In-Law gave us the vases she used at her wedding last year, so I tied some ribbon around them in our colors. The rocks (idk what they’re called) will be filled part way, and then the big enough vases will have floating candles on top.
These, I believe were candy dishes @ FSIL’s wedding, but these are my fave for the floating candles! It’s really too bad I only have 4 of them! But with the right rotation I think the mixed up center pieces could be really nice. What do you Ladies think?
