Ive seen a lot of bad reviews for them on various forums. i would google them and see what reviews come up for yourself, before you go any further with them.

They are really, really cheap.  I would be very concerned with who they send.  At that price, a comparable would be a semi-pro with a camera who takes pictures on the weekend or a college student looking to “break in” to the wedding industry.

As with a lot of referral services, you can’t necessarily judge the performance based on reviews.  It’s very likely that they have a pool of photographers in the area to whom they forward references so your experience may be different than another brides’ who used the same service.  Also, consider that on wedding planning sites with reviews, people often review the company as a whole, not specific vendors.  So you could find a negative review, but it could be in regards to a photographer in New Jersey booked through the same service.

This thread has me so afraid of using these people. I’m so tempted to call my deposit a loss and find someone else.

I used The Pros and LOVED THEM! I paid just under $1000, and my photographer is awesome. They sent me the disk less than two weeks after the wedding, with full rights, and the ability to blow them up to a 16×20. The photographer was talented and very knowledgable, and my rep gave me great service. I highly recommend them!

Oh, but my area was Houston, so we had completely different photographers. Definitely ask to view a full wedding before you book. The ones mine did (who was Scott V. if any Houston brides read this) delivers over 800 images per wedding and hardly a bad one is among them (I viewed 3 full weddings, just to be safe). I’m waiting on my blurb book to come in soon, before I design a full album.

I didn’t know I could request to view full wedding photos. I was just going off of their profile photos that were on there. I’m going to email them right now.

We used the pros and I was happy with the photographer but NOT the DJ. I swear he smoked like 5 joints and drank a bottle of jack before he came because his eyes were blood shot, and he could hardly talk.

Our photographer was very talented, but he had a bad attitude. He was rude… it was his last wedding with the pros and he had no problem telling many people that he was way underpaid and too talented to be working for “meager pay”.

The pictures turned out very well though! That was in Houston though, there are different photographers in every area, obviously.
