I don’t really know what the pros would be…getting to wear a pretty garter all day?  It’s a tradition I don’t think we’ll be partaking in, as I don’t really “get” it.  To each their own, though!  🙂

Also, a garter belt is a contraption that is worn around the waist and used to hold up stockings; what you’re referring to is simply a garter.  🙂

I wore a garter and we didn’t do the toss. Just mostly for “tradition” and it was a fun surprise for him at the end of the night! 😉

@MrsFutureG:  my now fiancé then boyfriend caught the garter at out friend’s wedding in December. Then he immediately (discreetly) got down on one knee.

^^ That is TOO cute!! We are definitely doing a garter toss.  I bought 2 that go together, one for him to toss and one for me to wear and keep forever! I’m sure with the alcohol flowing, the tossing garter will get messed up lol.  I say if people don’t like the idea of it, turn your heads.  It’s our day!
