You could always get alterations, but honestly a half an inch with a corset will be just fine.
Here is a link with a real bride wearing it. It shows the front and the back.
yah.. but the shape or the cup size itself of the gown won't be smaller? or lower.. i dont want it to look too tight on the bust.. or popping out.. :(
My dress was 3 sizes bigger then my regular size and it fits great I also have a corset/maggie dress... Buying a dress online can be tricky, im sure you will have to get alterations anyway so i think a bigger size would be better because if you get it too small theirs nothing they can really do about that whereas getting it a little bigger can be dealt with.
noritake! thanks a lot for the link that was really helpful!! :)
Sep i think i'll do that.. getting a bigger size is less risky and alterations seems do-able..
You can definitely get away with a 4. My bust was bigger than the rest of my body, and my dress fits perfectly. Half an inch won't be a problem :)
I wore a Maggie with a corset back. I am a size 0 or 2 in street clothes and my dress is a 4. It fit perfectly with no alterations (other than hemming). I am definitely an hourglass shape and the corset made it perfectly adjustable for my measurements. Good luck!

hello!!
I'm getting my Maggie gown online, but am not sure about the sizing, on the sizing chart i'm a US size 4 for everything except the bust (am 1/2 inch bigger there ,, so between sizes 4 and 6)..
am afraid if i get the 6 it would be too big on the hips, because the corset will be stuck together at the bottom of the lace (the V shape?) ... so there will be no room to tighen it on the hips if i get the bigger size rite?
can i get away with a size 4, and extending the top of the corset back for the bust area (make the top of the V shape slightly bigger) or would the cup size itself be too small....
so.. shud i go with 1/2 inch tighter on the bust or 1 inch wider on the hip?.. :S
the dress am getting is the Claudette :).. has anyone tried it?
