I decided to make a thread about the engagement ring that called out to me, and the one's that called out to the rest of you. Meaning, you searched and searched and finally found THE ONE, or you just saw that one ring, and knew it was you immediately, etc. Or if your FI got you your ring as a surprise, that when you saw it your heart dropped and it couldn't be more perfect! :) (oh! and feel free to share your stories too!)

I'm bad at wording things, but you get the idea. I thought I would share my story, because I had a heck of a ride finding THE ONE, but now I have it and I couldn't be happier! 

(gonna try to make this short lol) 

So, my FI proposed On New Years 2010 and without a ring. Right after for a couple of months, we looked around. I looked at every store possible and couldn't find anything that I liked, but when were in a particular store the sales guy pulled out a ring that wasn't on display that he thought I might like. I instantly fell IN LOVE! It was sparkly, unique, vintage-looking, everything I wanted! And it was within my FI's "budget". He didn't have a job at the time so there really wasn't a "budget" at the moment, so needless to say, I couldn't get my ring then. =/ Instead, we settled on a diamond bow ring that was $350. I loved it too, and was going to just keep it and wear it forever, but, it snagged on everything and injured my face while I was sleeping so we had to take it back. Then, I wanted something on my finger, so I bought myself a 1ct moissy. This was just a placeholder until FI could get me the ring he wanted to get me, the one I loved. Recently, he surprised me with my ring :) He said that we were financially set and he could get it for me and I was SO EXCITED! This ring was the ring I had wanted for 2 years!!!! I was just so beyond happy. 

So now, its on my finger! and I couldn't be happier! The ring really called my name, and no matter how much I looked after I found this one, this ring was the only one I could think about =) So here it is ladies! Now share your beauties!!

I have posted mine a lot here and I never get any coments on it because I guess It's kinda simple and plain but that's me. I don't mind posting it again and telling my story of how I found it.

I knew I just had to get mine from The Shane Co.

I knew I wanted a round brilliant cut center stone because they seem so timless and sparkle like crazy. (good thing cuz my FI already had the diamond)

I had been searching the Shane Co. site and had a few favs saved. 

I went to the store alone and was extreemly nervous. I'm talking, shaking, sweating, labored breathing. LOL IDK why. I figured I am about to pick out something that I will wear everyday for the rest of my life! I better love it.

A sales lady caught my eye and had me look up my saved rings online. She was busy helping 3 of us at the same time and really rushed me through the process. I hastily decided on one that really was too dainty for my size 7 finger but when I told her I needed my FI to come in and put the down payment she was like ok. The proceeded to move on to the next customer. 

I almost left but I felt sick. Like I was rushed into it and felt it wasn't the one. So I left the area she was in and and looked around. I came across "the ring"! Another sales lady came over and asked if I wanted to see it. I couldn't stop smiling and said yes. (I told her what had just happened and she said was sorry and that I should take all the time I need)

She took it out of the case and I slipped it on and started crying. I loved it so much. It was perfect for me. (I had a SYTTD moment over my ring. LOL) She was like that's your ring! She was right!

@luvmyDwight: girl that is gorgeous! I really do love that! :) The setting is beautifullll! And I love your story :) I was rushed in a few places, but luckily my ring wasn't there. LOL I'm glad you decided to look around though and not leave, and that you found the one that tugged on your heart strings :)

We went shopping together for my ring because I am SUPER picky about this kind of stuff.  I had been tearing Tacori ads out of magazines for years and that was really the only thing I ever planned about my wedding.  We tried on every ring in a gigantic store and this one just had everything I love in a ring: classic and timeless with a little extra sparkle, fit flush with a matching wedding band, and I could go on but I don't want to bore you. :)  You wouldn't know it's a Tacori by just looking at the top but their attention to detail is what has always brought me to the brand and I was lucky enough to have a FI that wanted to give it to me!

My FI picked this out for me and it is my absolute dream ring, and I didn't even know it until I saw it.  I couldn't love it more.

Awe I love reading all of the sweet stories, and of course looking at all of the bling ;)

My ring was one that I tried on over and over and over...to the point that the sales people recognised me. I had about 5 rings "around town" that I kept going back to. This was one of them.

I had all the info written down with the intention of giving it to FI "if he asked" but he proposed before I could do it. THRILLED that he got me one of the ones I'd been trying on. It was instantly so comfortable, I felt like I'd been wearing it forever.
