I’d like it better with eithr Alexander or Louis at the first name.

I figured it would be George after his great great grandfather’s kingly title.  I think it’s a subtle hint for him to choose that name when he becomes king.  I’ve always been a fan of Alexander.  Louis is from William’s third moniker.

@allyfally:  Agreed. Maybe they will call him by something else?

@allyfally:  +1.

Honestly, I was hoping they’d choose an entirely new first name, instead of using the same names the monarchy has used for centuries. All the Georges, Henrys, and Arthurs get boring after awhile, in my opinion.

I LOVE it!

It’s such a strong name! And I love that it has the names of three powerful rulers in it!

Well I definitely understand tradition is very important for the royal family, but I’m a little “meh” on the name. Then again its not my decision!!!!! I am sure they thought really hard about it so it must be the best one for them!

I will admit though, I wonder if his first middle name being Alexander eliminates the option for a princess Alexandra in the future!

I like it, but no nod to Diana? I was thinking they’d add Spencer in there somewhere. Maybe they’ll have another kid later.

I like the name.  Alexander was a contender for my DS.

… George is about to skyrocket to the top of the SSA top 100, and everyone will swear they planned to use it before Will & Kate.

Ah! I was so close. I was thinking Charles Alexander.
