You know I was really worried about letting my cake gal go ahead on the grooms cake with out seeing it until the day of - but realistically she has much better ideas then I do, she's been doing this for years and I gave her my run down of what I liked, we stay in contact talking - and she's handeling the design.
I think just saying "Mock up Simpsons wedding" will be enough for your cake professional to create something awesome!
If you love their work, you need to trust them a little. They know what they are doing.

HAHA Fudgie the Whale. I hate Carvel with a passion. Something about the ice cream just turns me off. It kind of has a cardboard taste to it. Maybe I can feed that to the FFIL.

I didn't use the reverend but you can also search for marge and homer cake topper on ebay or google and find one with the reverend.
Mine isn't going on a cake but I don't think it would be too heavy to sink a cake. Let me know how the finish project turned out!!

I want to have a Simpsons grooms cake made for the future hubby since he loves the show. Currently, I am bidding on figurines for the top of the cake. I am getting Marge and Homer, Reverend Lovejoy, and a few of the townspeople. My idea is to create a simpsons wedding. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can decorate the top of the cake? I don't want to make the top so heavy that it sinks. Ideally, I want to make a mock up cake ahead of time so I can give my baker an idea of what I want. Any suggestions on design would be helpful.
