What was / is it???
Joshua Radins “only you”
It was a difficult choice, I also wanted IZ somewhere over the rainbow. So we are playing that when we sign the Marriage Licence. On the way back down we chose The proclaimers ” I would walk 500 miles”
Pastures New by Nickel Creek.
i’m planning on walking down to the instrumental version of “to make me feel your love” by garth brooks
@RahlyRah: I love your song choice, almost picked it myself, so pretty!
I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of ‘Love Story’ by Taylor Swift. I am pretty much obsessed with her so it was very me, and the piano and cello version we used sounded great. But I did drive myself CRAZY obsessing voer the times, because I wanted to use it for the processional too. So I practiced a whole bunch and timed it out perfectly so that I would be walking out when it hits the crescendo of the song, the ‘Marry Me, Juliet’ bit towards the end. And since it was instrumental I couldn’t just tell them the lyric they walked out for, because no one but me was obsessed enough to know what part the song was at lyrically when I was playing an instrumental version, haha. But I knew, and so did Darling Husband.
I walked at 2:54
Our recessional was Little Big Town’s To Know Love
I walked down to Josh Groban’s “When You Day You Love Me,” and it was played live. We had drums, keyboard and a guitar and my brother in law sang the song. It was amazing.
String quartet version of “Love Story” by Taylor Swift 🙂
My bridal party and I walked out to “Hold Us Together” by Matt Maher. Like @Wonderstruck:, I definitely timed it out so I could walk out at the crescendo of the song at 2:10 😉 That section is also very wedding-appropriate and symbolic.
My husband and I walked back down the aisle to a violin cover of Red Hot Chili Peppers “Snow (Hey Oh)” covered by Eric Wuest. Very cheerful and exciting!
God Bless the Broken Road – Carrie Underwood’s version
I’m walking to a re-arrangement of the bridal march that I found on You Tube before we were even engaged! I like that it sounds traditional, your ear recognzies it, but it’s just a little bit different, more romantic.
@Wonderstruck: that is seriously gorgeous. I do like the original song, but I’m normally more into rock/punky type music but that is such a pretty version, made me a bit teary!
I’m having a Vitamin String Quartet cover, either Foo Fighters ‘Everlong’ or The Cure ‘Just Like Heaven’.
I’m walking down the aisle to “First Day of my Life” by Bright Eyes.
Our friend is going to be playing it on the guitar.
