- Wedding: March 2012
Honestly, I was pretty laid back on my wedding day. Things went wrong. Things went right. Either way, I was so ecstatic. 🙂
But, right before I walked down the aisle, not more than 15 minutes, I was a little anxious and nervous and out of my head ready to start things. I kept asking people what time it was because the build-up was getting out of control! Well, at that moment, my brother’s girlfriend walks into the bridesroom. And in an instance, without even thinking, the words were out of my mouth before I could even stop myself…”You wore white to my wedding?!”
She was wearing this short white, slinky dress to my catholic (conservative) church ceremony. I even put on the invitation–modest attire! But the thing I felt the MOST terrible about was that I said that to her. I apologized immediately, but I could tell by the look on her face that she was mortified.
In all likelihood, she didn’t realize it was a faux-pas, and I know in the long run it didn’t really matter what color she wore. I apologized and gave her a big hug right then and there, and I honestly hope that she accepts my heartfelt apology.
That was my only regret. I was absolutely, blissfully happy on the day of my wedding! 🙂
