Like most people, I really dislike going to the dentist. Cleanings and check up aren’t so bad, but it’s when you need more than that that I freak out. Normally they would give me laughing gas, but there’s the itty bitty issue of me TTC.
I had read before, and the dental assistant even warned me that laughing gas can cause sudden miscarriages in pregnant women. I don’t even know if I’m pregnant (2WW), but I decided I’m not taking any chances!
Eventhough I was terrified, I had three fillings done this morning with nothing but numbing shots. The things I will do for you, hypothetical fetus! Just thought I’d share :).

@GooteyBootey: LMAO!!! I’m terrified of dentists – I never used to be until a few years back my dentist stuck me in an artery in the back of my mouth with the novicane and my face went numb, my heart raced, and I had blurry vision and panicked.
Too bad I still go to him, because my SIL is the dental assistant and gets us a discount.
I’m fine with cleanings, though haha.
I had a root canal 2 years ago and freaked out so bad that my hands went numb and I kept checking my pulse.

I HATE needles and I’m having my husband give me 2 shots a day (progesterone and lovenox) for my little one. 😛 And I’ve given up processed sugar, simple carbs, gluten, take a crap ton of supplements, etc. 😉

@GooteyBootey: Wowza!! Nice work for your hypothetical fetus! Haha, I love that term and will probably start using it when I’m in TWW..

@GooteyBootey: Wow I hadn’t thought about what I’d have done there! My dentist doesn’t do laughing gas, only numbing shots, but I might have said no to the gas for the same reason! Good for you! Gotta start practicing for when you’ll do ANYTHING for your children. FX for you!
