The mister’s b-day is quickly approaching and last night while talking that we are almost a year out from our wedding date, he expressed his concern about wearing a ring. The mister doesn’t wear jewlery unless you consider his watch and chain.
So I was perusing on etsy (LOVE THAT PLACE) and I found this wood ring. I’m thinking of ordering it he is open to the idea of wearing something to get use to having on ring on – and I think being in the military that is probably the only jewlery he could wear.
What do you ladies think?

My fiance loves these too! We aren’t getting married until next July, but he wants to order it now and wear it, he likes it so much. I like the inlaid ones like the one you’ve pictured, but he likes the bamboo one.

I have been wondering the same thing Jaydee, my fiance doesn’t wear jewelry either because he isn’t really used to it and because of being in the military so we have been thinking about what to do.
I love that ring and I’m sure your future hubby will too. It’s very manly.

Love this!!! I think it would actually make a great wedding ring, very natural!

I think it’s very neat looking.

My guy’s the same way. They can’t wear it on their right hand in uniform, either, which sucks. I REALLY like that ring. It’s flippin cool!
I got mine a stainless steel and gold band to wear while he was deployed. It ended up with his dog tags in his pocket b/c it was so traditional looking (i guess…it wasn’t THAT traditional when i got it a couple years ago) and he got tired of the “wife, fiance, what is she? why?” questions.
Oh man, it’s so cool!!! i love it.

My fiance ordered his ring probably from the same place, he’s not a big ring kind of guy but is excited about getting the wood ring. Our priest wears a wood ring and it looks really nice.

I think it’s cute that your guy wants to “practice” wearing a ring. And that ring’s really pretty! (Uh, I mean, oh-so manly and masculine!)

I love the natural/bohemian vibe about this ring. I am all about designs like this that are unique and so untraditional.

I think that is a great idea! FI also had bought a silver ring once to get used to the feel of wearing a ring. I think it helps! Although, he has no idea where the ring is now. I hope he takes better care of his wedding ring. One of our friends has lost his wedding ring 3 times in like 2 1/2 years. Yikes!

I would love for my man to wear a ring before his wedding band! I dont think he would be down for it though, he is very traditional when it comes to all this wedding stuff (who knew?!) His brother wanted a ering after he proposed to his now wife and he wears both his ering and his band and FI thinks is odd…therefore no ‘training ring’

That’s a neat ring! My mister did the same thing and ordered a few rings to wear around and “practice” since he didn’t wear any jewelry at all.

Mr. DG and I have wood and titanium rings, so I’m very biased!
