    Continued from: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/the-ttc-and-still-going-list-how-many-months

which got too long and isn't updating properly.

A helpful note from Mrs Green Grass on this thread:

THREAD PSA! : ) PLEASE READ...

Hi to all the new ladies!  I would like to take a second to welcome you and also explain a bit about this thread.  And it sounds like many of you have read the whole thing so I'm sure it will make sense.  I want everyone to feel welcome to share here, but at the same time please be very understanding about the fact that many of us have been trying for...well...awhile.  I started this thread because there was the infertility thread and lots of pregnancy posts, but no where for people who were trying for awhile with no known infertility issues.

So...in light of that...please continue to be your extremely supportive selves, thanks!  But also keep us in mind when posting.  We sometimes get irrationally, self-loathingly sad when other people get pregnant right away (i.e. we hate ourselves for feeling jealous).  And we also hope you do get PG quickly at the same time because we are nice people!

I hope this sounds reasonable and nice (I re-read many times before posting) because I/we sincerely value the support we get from all over the 'bee.  I just want to explain a tad.

    Now BFPs all-around!

No update here - CD 13 but no positive OPK yet.  Historically have longer cycles, so I could get one as late as CD 22.  So, still in the pre-TWW period.  I've decided it's less fun than the TWW!

I'm back after taking a much needed month off from the boards.  (Hi @winniewolf:  ;))  I'm currently 11dpo on month 6, and I have a feeling, I'll be moving on to month 7 by weeks' end.  I had bleeding while BD at 9dpo, cried my eyes out, but have been totally clear since.  I looked at my last 5 months and for 4 of them, I started spotting at 9dpo which never stopped and turned into AF.  That day I made an appt with a new Ob/gyn who specializes in RE, so I feel good about that.  My original doc (before I moved) said to come in after 6 months of not conceiving because I have a history of some irregular periods.  While I was feeling pretty devastated, I'm happy to be taking some steps forward and getting more professional attention.

Wow...Part II, how exciting!  I waiting for O here.  DH and I are getting working on getting extra busy this month ; ).  Feeling good, but no specific reason to have more or less hope than any other month.

I am at the end of cycle 2 of actively TTC.  10 DPO.  - HPT this morning.  I am still holding out hope - FF tells me that only 31% of pregnant charts show a + HPT at 10 DPO (or is that just really grasping at straws?) - because we had really good timing this month, but ... seeing the BFN this morning was really depressing.

Huge shout-outs to those of you who have been trying for much longer.  I have so much respect for your strength and will to keep going.  This is a hard.  Much, much harder than I expected.  (I come from the most fertile family ever.  Seriously.)

I'm on my tenth month. CD 30 and waiting for af! If I'm not pregnant (I have no doubt) i'm going to start charting so I know what's going on!

Next week my DH is going in for his little test;) and then I'm going to make an appointment for myself...

Good luck, ladies! Hoping to have a lot of bfp announcements this month!

@Mrs Green Grass:   It is going to be a good month!  I feel it!

@septcabride:  Oh I hear you!  It is very hard.  We all just have to stick together and vent here if needed.   I've found the bee to be my comfort zone when things get tough.

    Update here:

Still waiting for AF here.  Officially 1 week late.  Took pg test and still negative.  I will be POAS tomorrow morning.  If I get a bfn, I will probably be making a visit to the Doctor.

@Fire:  thank you!  I love having this space to laugh, cry, and vent.  Our first month TTC I told my husband everything and it was not good.  He was stressed, I was stressed, there were "issues."  So now I just go about my business and everything is much better, but it is still hard to deal with the roller coaster of emotions associated with this process (which pretty much happens in secret).

Good luck with the stick tomorrow!

    may I join you ladies???

we're still very new to TCC. with AF arriving on Sunday, I started charting this week. i find it very interesting how much you learn about your body... tststs... almost 30 and still don't have a clue what is going on down there...

unfortunatelly this month right around our best days, we'll have friends staying at our place... ALL THE TIME... so AF is already waiting for me at the end of the month.

@septcabride: last months was our first month of TCC and same as you, I told my husband everthing... and I agree, it was not good...

SENDING BABY DUST TO ALL OF YOU!!!

@septca and other newcomers - welcome!  I've been at this since January and still trying to find the happy medium of what and when to share with my husband.  It's not that we aren't open with each other...it's just that I do find that it confuses him to know every little detail.  I.E., I think I'm pregnant, I don't think I'm pregnant, I think I'm ovulating, I don't think I'm ovulating, I don't know when I'm ovulating, I think we should DTD tonight...you get the picture.

Now, I try to just tell him the week or so that I think we should be intimate more frequently (pre-O) and then I tell him if I'm late or if I've taken a test.  That way, he'll be prepared for the news if I'm pregnant.  I know that I still overshare with him, though.

I do all of my other obsessing on these boards : )

13 DPO (1 day late), temps went triphasic (and are still up), but -HPT this morning, so not very confident about my chances this month.

@septcabride: I hear you with the overshare - in the beginning, I shared everything with my husband (and, by beginning, I mean months before we were even TTC). He was definitely overwhelmed! Slowly, I have weaned myself off of the oversharing, but I still think he knows more about my body and cycle than the average man would care to know!

I think I got a positive OPK today (or else it might be coming tomorrow, but the line was definitely the darkest its been)  so am ready to officially be entering the tww for cycle 4. Hopefully, there will be lots of BFPs to go around this month :)

    @Fire: Any update?

I'm on CD 21 (guessing that I'm 7-8 DPO) and I've been feeling "iffy" the last few days. Which doesn't mean anything because the last time I felt even close to this crappy, I had the worst AF experience I've ever had. So at this point, I'm think I'm either KU, or creeping up on a week of utter misery. Why is there never a middle ground?!?

Just popping in to say hi and seeing if any of you ladies got a BFP yet! :)

I've been doing pretty good on keeping my mind off this lately! Spent the last week or so freaking out about a house offer. We accepted their counter and should be signing paperwork tomorrow! Home inspection already scheduled for next week. Cross your fingers that it all goes smoothly!

It's such a great house, with so much potential and MANY updates needed. We're gutting the whole kitchen/dining room/living room to make into one big open space. So excited to get to design everything we do for our new home! :) Inground pool with a HUGE backyard.

    @Mrs Green Grass:

Thanks for that post. It was beautiful. You ladies are all SO supportive and completely understand.

@regberadaisy:  so you're throwing a pool party for us when we get our BFPs?!

11 DPO.  Insane, almost unbearable pain in my chest*, insatiable thirst.  And I am still convinced it's all psychosomatic nonsense.  I want to be KU so badly this month (for a variety of reasons the timing just could not be more perfect) that it hurts.  I saw a very, very faint line on a blue dye test this morning if I held it to the window, but I don't trust those things - will test again tomorrow with pink dye and try to keep my mind off of this until then (ha!).  I think I am going crazy.

*Tenderness is an unmistakable AF symptom for me, but it doesn't usually set in until 13-14 DPO, and this is nothing like AF tenderness.  More like deep stabbing, aching pain in the sides and a burning ache in my back.

Month one here. I really want to get pregnant sooner rather than later because I'm 32, but my husband isn't really ready. We've been married for a year and bought a house in May, so the only thing we don't have yet is a strong emergency fund for my maternity leave. Luckily, I'm in California so I pay into State Disability and will get 55% of my pay for 12 weeks. We both love our job (workaholics) so we'll definitely be doing daycare when it happens.

I'm a little nervous about how long it might take to get pregnant. A couple friends recently had trouble conceiving because they weren't ovulating normally. I seem to be ovulating just fine but I'm really scared that I waited too long.

Hello Bees! I'm new to this thread.  Just got married at the beginning of July so we've just recently started to actively TTC.  Still trying to learn acronyms and all that. :)  Is there a preferred brand/type of ovulation kit that anyone could recommend?  Thanks!

Hi all, new to the board, too! We married last October and started trying a month ago, and before you scoff at the "only one month" =-) we're Not expecting an easy time of it, given that I usually don't have my period regularly off-pill...and that makes it a tad difficult to know when you're most likely to conceive. My awesome obgyn told me to come in for testing at my annual (November). Thinking of charting temp or using an ovulation kit so I can at least go in with a little more information. Anyone been there? Love to all who have been here for awhile, and best wishes.

@FruitPatch: Hi, and welcome! I like the Amazon Wondfo ovulation tests, because they're super cheap (40 opks, plus 10 early pregnancy tests for $10), so I can use as many as I want. They can be a little bit ambiguous, though, especially when you first start using them, so for clear, easy to read results I like the Clear Blue Easy ovulation kits...you get a big smiley face when it detects your LH surge, can't get more clear than that! Good luck!

@Bride109: No scoffing here, really. Occasional jealousy at girls who have such an easy time, but only because we all wish we'd had such an easy time of it! But everyone needs to start somewhere. I highly recommend charting. It's been amazing to be able to see what my body is doing each month. I'd suggest reading Taking Control of Your Fertility. I use fertilityfriend.com to chart, and I know a lot of bees will suggest the TCOYF.com charting tools, but both are great programs, I just happened upon FF first. Good luck!

I got my temp rise and we definitely timed everything right this month.  With all the BFPs on the Infertility board I think I'm going to be sad if it doesn't work this month...

We are going on an anniversary trip next week so that will help the time pass!

    Welcome to all newly TTC!

Good luck @missgreen grass!!  We are kind of on the same timeline (and I think/hope we timed everything right).  Today is CD 19 and O day (positive OPKs last night and this morning and usually a 24 hr surge).  Tomorrow the TWW begins.  I feel really positive and am going to do my level best to just live life with fingers crossed the next few weeks.

I'm with you - so much good news on those boards we could use some on this board too ; )

I don't think I've chimed in on this thread, so here goes.

Starting month #4 of TTC.  I did the ovulation tests last month and got a Smiley face on CD16 (I had almost given up hope that I was going to see that face!).  Unfortunately, it didn't work out this month and Aunt Flo came right on schedule on August 1.

I have three very best friends and we all decided to TTC around the same time.  One is officially 20 weeks today...she got knocked up the same month she stopped taking her pill.  This weekend another of the girls announced her pregnancy.  She went off the pill in January, but kept the goalie in play so to speak.  They pulled the goalie in June on a cruise and bam she's 8 weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond thrilled for them and can't wait to play Aunt to the kiddos, but I don't think I could hide my jealousy / frustration / sadness this weekend when the second pregnancy was announced.  I know it is still relatively early to get frustrated, but I can't help it.  DH keeps saying "it takes time it will happen stop worrying" but hello my two best friends are having babies after trying for a nanosecond and I'm still playing the waiting game.  I just want him to bring me home a Sprinkles cupcake and tell me that he's disappointed too.

Ok thanks for letting me vent...if anyone understands it is definitely my hive peeps!

@Piccateer: Welcome to our thread!  I totally understand how you feel!  Hopefully you get your BFP very, very soon!

@Mrs Green Grass: Good luck and enjoy your anniversary trip!  We got married the week after you, and we are headed to Savannah, GA for our anniversary next week.  I am so much in need of a vacation!

@jaylovessteez: I'm sending you baby dust!  Good Luck!

As for me- it BD time around my house!  I wish it was next week when we are on vacation!  I should O on Friday, then on to the dreaded TWW... Luckily we are on vacation on of the weeks so it will go much faster!

    Baby dust to all!
