Wow ! I think thats awesome ! You guys definately lucked out πŸ™‚

We are trying to save as much money as possible – this is my second wedding but my FI’s first…. and he doesn’t want it to be huge (thank goodness).  We are getting married at our church so that will save us $$. Our reception hall holds 300 people, has a bar and bartender included, and a kitchen for $300. We also have a photographer who is just starting out and has only done a few weddings but her pics are great ! Again $300.  We have decided to have a “pot luck” dinner – since its a small town and everyone will know each other for the most part, we are going to provide meat and ask people to bring a side dish… we did this for a friends wedding and there was plenty of food (and it was homeade and yummy) so the kitchen will come in handy. We have the hall rented for 2 days so we can go in and decorate the whole day before so we don’t have to rush – a lot of stuff is diy so not a lot of $$ spent on stuff that will be thrown away that night πŸ˜‰ Oh yeah – and our dj is great and we are paying $700 for unlimited hours – he likes to dj and party so he will stay for 2 days if we want… lol… It still adds up, but is way better than spending tens of  THOUSANDS of dollars on one day – which will be special in the end no matter how much money is spent πŸ™‚
