Today was a great day!
We went to our 'Design Appt' today at our venue. Got me really excited and pumped! We were allowed to do a few extra things we didnt know if we'd be able to!
Also I emailed our #1 Pick for a florist to let her know we wanted her for the job! Sent her some photos, hopefully she catches my drift. =)
Also mom is encouraging me to pick a hotel for our first look or pre-pictures. Super excited. Definitely a last minute decision that Im really happy about! I really hate spending the money on such a pricey hotel! Bleh, but im hoping we can use it for the first look location too!
Let the week of the wedding Drama begin...
Wouldnt you know it the week of the wedding I get an email from an Aunt stating that she didnt receive an ivitation. (WELL YOU ARNT INVITED, THATS WHY YOU DIDNT RECEIVE ONE) Geesh, What is wrong with people.
On a better note, there is only 5 days til we are married women for the 12/3/11 bees!!! Cant wait to see all the recaps in the coming days/weeks
I'm looking forward to the wedding and hoping all goes smoothly!
More than anything, I'm hoping we get everything worked out in time - the ceiling of our chapel caved in last week, so we're scrambling to find a new location for the ceremony :-\
@SadieBee: Oh no! That's awful. Hopefully you will find a good alternate location. Could you have the ceremony where you're having the reception?
I can't wait to see all of the other December Bees' pictures! All of you have been so helpful during the planning process. I remember when December seemed so far away...it's hard to believe December weddings start this weekend!

@RSgrl1215: Does make you wonder sometimes doesn't it. So far no drama this week. The only thing on my mind at this point is - Rain. We have been in a drought for over a year here in Texas and now there is a 20% chance of rain on my wedding day, my out door open air wedding chapel wedding. Oh well, I can't stop the rain. My family keep telling me to stop looking at it as a 20% chance of rain and instead look at it as an 80% of no rain.
@MaraBeth: I am holding up fine so far. Really just excited and ready to be done with all this wedding stuff. It has taken over the last 6 months of my life and I am ready to move on to another project. Not sure what that will be, but I will find something... Christmas cookies!

@december bride: The rain! I am dreading this possibility too. It's supposed to be cold and rainy on Saturday :( Granted, everything will take place indoors and there's not anything I can do about it, but it's a little annoying that the weather decides to take such a turn the week of the wedding.
A few weeks ago I got a cute short sleeve dress for the rehearsal dinner...it seemed like a great idea when I bought it and it was 85 degrees outside. The possibility it might be in the 30s at night during the wedding weekend hadn't occurred to me! Texas weather is too unpredictable. Oh well, I guess I will just have to find a sweater or something.
@MaraBeth: I feel the same way. No rain for months and now the weekend of the wedding it hits. I am happy about the cold. I have borrowed a beautiful white cape with fur trim. i was hoping it would be cold enought to wear it. It seems like it will be. the friend who loaned it to me got married last year in December and it was 85 on her wedding day. So the cape has never been worn.
I'm sure your dress will be wonderful with a cute little cardigan. I actually think the right cardigan can be very romantic.

@RSgrl1215: lol. I love when people think that them not receiving an invite MUST be an accident and it can't possibly mean that they weren't invited. Yea, we had 10 people awkwardly bully my FMIL into invites.
And I'm also worried/paranoid about rain. I keep crossing my fingers it won't rain =(
@CupCakeMeg: I ended up booking a hotel for our first look and getting ready photo ops. It sucks, but I wanted the pretty setting as well. Especialy if it rains! This way we could take photos inside the pretty hotel at the very least, instead of say our house or just at the venue.
@MaraBeth: Hah my rehearsal dinner dress is a one sleeve lacy, glittery cocktail dress and I still plan on rocking it next Friday even if it's cold! This was my one shot to buy a cute sparkly cocktail dress and wear it without people thinking I'm trying to upstage someone so dammit I'm going to wear it! :p
@yellowshoe: Yeahhh I've had a few that are like "hey, isn't your wedding this soon? I haven't gotten an invite." Don't they realize that if they were invited, I would have probably contacted them about an RSVP already since it's so close??
I am stalking the weather forecast, even though it's 17 days away... :) I have to go shopping this weekend for my hair stuff, lipstick, and other jewelry. I'm seriously just considering Icing by Claire's. I've spent too much money already! :)

The wedding is less than a week away. I have everthing gathered in one spot to load up in the car. I have made all the phone calls to finalize things. I am going to pack for the honeymoon, tomorow. I am working Monday to Wednesday. The out of Town Guests begin arriving on Thursday night. After all the months of waiting and planning it is almost here. Now if only I can get some sleep. I wake up at all hours of the night now. Too excited to sleep. I hate to take anything. I have read several brides talking about Bananas and also some use warm milk. I am going to try both. I can hardly believe my dream day is almost here. I am going to be a married woman!
