I’m getting married there on 8/3/13. Just met with a florist yesterday to discuss centerpieces 🙂

@Robbywifey:  We’re using a florist in NJ that my fiance’s family knows. We’re doing a combo of short and tall centerpieces with mostly purples and greens. Currently deciding if we want to do uplighting but my dad thinks it’ll take away from the skyline view. How bout you?

@Robbywifey:  Sorry for delay- seems like Water’s Edge is back in action. FI went hunting for a rehearsal dinner location today in LIC. Have you done that? Do you have a room block at a hotel nearby?

@Robbywifey:  We have a room block at the Marriott but may do a 2nd at the Ravel for convenience purposes. For some reason I just kinda started looking into hair and make up. Holy expensive.. as soon as “bride” is mentioned it seems like a couple hundred bucks is added to the price Undecided

So excited to find other Water’s Edge brides! I’m 9-21-13. We’re looking to reserve a hotel block soon. What have you guys heard regarding pricing? Any news regarding damages around the area from Sandy?

@Robbywifey:  We’re using Ayenia Nour for photography (here’s a link to a prior wedding she did there http://www.stylemepretty.com/new-york-weddings/2011/08/18/the-water%E2%80%99s-edge-wedding-by-city-chic-weddings/ ), Hank Lane for band, and I met with Black Dahlia for flowers, however I haven’t heard back regarding some changes I had for flowers and how that would effect cost. Prices were totally reasonable, but I might be on the hunt for an alternative florist if I don’t hear back soon. Did Spitz and Peck seem reasonable?

@EphanieStay:

@Robbywifey:

Are either of you ladies using a DOC? I’m on the hunt for someone who isn’t charging an arm and a leg.

We’re using the Marriott for hotel block. Rooms are smallish but prices were reasonable ($160) with breakfast and shuttle to Water’s Edge included.

@SavesAnimals:  Hm we used the Marriott Fairfield Inn.. they definitely had a shuttle 3 months ago. In retrospect, it wasn’t enough anyway. It only seated about 10 people so it had to make multiple trips which wasted a lot of time.
