Most people don't wear white to weddings (unless they are the bride!), at least in my area, so I think you'll be fine! Everyone is going to see how beautiful you look, not the shade of white that your dress is :) I say, just go with whatever shade makes you happiest. PS welcome to the hive!
I think ivory dresses are more flattering on nearly everyone - pure white is just too stark! If you liked how the ivory looked on you, definitely go for it. I'm sure it's gorgeous! (Maybe I'm biased - my gown is ivory too!)

Honestly Diamond White is a color not too many people look good in. Ivory really is a white anyway. Its a warm white. I have ivory/silver too and it looks white i tell you!
Wear what makes you look HOT. Wear what you love! Wear something that makes you feel FANTASTIC on one of the most important days of your life sweetie! The wedding is a celebration of you and your love. You should NOT be worried about what others think. Just making you 2 happy!

Definitely wear whatever you look best in and most comfortable in. If that means ivory, then wear ivory! My dress is ivory and most people I know have worn or wear will ivory wedding dresses.
shimundu: honestly if you want to wear white then wear white dear!! but remember that the old philosophies about wearing white is not the same as it used to be... i am a huge proponent of wearing what you'd feel most comfortable in. if that's white, then dear wear white! when it's my turn i'll either wear ivory or hopefully champagne :D
Wear what you like best! Most people know that it's completely inappropriate to wear white to weddings, so you shouldn't have to worry about it!
We must be soul sisters b/c I was in the same exact boat with thoughts along the same exact lines. It's November, I've lost my tan...Everyne said ivory looked best on me, too- but just something about me kinda wanted white. I even thought I'd get a spray tan before I really made my decision- you know- because I'll be tan come next July, right? Well, I went with ivory- I really do think it looks so much more rich than white. In the end you need to be happy and comfortable. If yu like white, go for white!

Hi everyone,just like most women am having a problem choosing between white/silver and ivory/silver when it comes to my wedding dress.ok i'll tell u guys a little bit about myself and the dress for yall to maybe help me better,my dress is from mori lee,chiffon and strapless.Am African-american black hair,brown eyes and lighter skinned.i went tried on the dress in ivory and my friends said i needed not to change anything about that dress it looked perfect just the way it was.But a part of me have always wanted a white dress since i have never been married before,i talked to the consultant she told me no-one would know the difference if i chose ivory but am afraid someone might show up with a white dress in the wedding and give mine away.HELP WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
