@ebarnes0:  well, if he’s still handling your wedding, then I think a heads up email is totally sufficient.

Maybe you should reach out to cupcake girl and find out if maybe she is already planning on a return visit so that she can do the things she committed to do for your wedding?

@ebarnes0:  Those kind of things certainly do cause stress for brides to be.

Have you contacted the cupcake girl to see if she will still be able to make the cupcakes?

@ebarnes0:  Oh wow. That is so stressful! I’m sorry. That is a lot of bad, stressful news for just two days!!

@ebarnes0:  I would talk to your cupcake girl.  Maybe she is planning on using her mom’s kitchen (or some similar set up)  Or maybe if you don’t have a contract, she might have just forgotten.

I will be honest, I am the opposite if you.  I hate when my vendors call me.  I want e-mails so stuff is in writting.  We had our reception venue person quit on us, and the new girl is SO much better.

@ebarnes0:  You never know. The bakery may still allow her to use their facility. Here’s hoping she already has this covered.

@ebarnes0:  haha, wow. totally different if he neglected to include that one extra sentence…”but I’m still taking care of your wedding…don’t worry!”

Glad at least that part hasn’t proved to be as stressful as it seemed like it was going to be.

I’m sure everyone has wedding problems. I just got married in October and my original Photographer “decided to focus on other things” and canceled our contract, we had the Bridesmaid dress emergency where it wouldnt fit shortly before the wedding (there were no dresses in the area to exchange), and on our wedding day I received a call from our (second) photography company that the photographer we choose was in an accident and they were sending someone else (who had no idea of the pictures we asked for or any of the conversations we had had).

I’m not saying this to scare you at all… I wanted to point out that after my inner freak out at all these problems, everything turned out great! We received a better package with the second photography company, we had my seamstress do a lace up back in the BM’s dress instead of the original zipper back, the photographer that was sent from the second company did a great job and was creative.

I hope everything works out with your cupcake girl and for the Host I would just be sure to check in with him slightly more often to make sure everything is still going as planned.

@ebarnes0:  Did you have a contract with your cupcake lady? I know sometimes its weird to request family to do contracts…but I would!
