how exciting!! happy early birthday!! this weekend i have a large show on sunday and will spend tomorrow prepping for it lol
First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!!! Won't all you bees join me in wishing such an awesome hostess a wonderful birthday?
We're actually gearing up for my son's birthday on sunday afternoon. My invites I made got a 100 PERCENT ACCEPTANCE RATE! Woo hoo. Apparently the moms did like it wink wink!
Only monkeywrench thrown into the mix is all the rain we've gotten has made the rivers run really fast and much deeper. The tubing and canoe company has shut down operations today b/c of it and we're scheduled to get more rain so it's up in the air if we're gonna be able to do that..but I have a rainy day/water too fast and deep plan! That would be take the little guys to go see GI Joe and then go to Mellow Mushroom for pizza!
Btw, don't worry about all the parties this weekend and showers you're going to Kate. I bet many will sing happy birthday and it will be nice just the two of you having a romantic celebration next weekend! Look at it like one long extended birthday WEEK instead of a day! Hugs!

This weekend: I've got to go tomorrow morning to buy my books for school. Classes start next week. We've got to get FI a shirt and tie's for the guys. And go visit my dad, who lives almost an hour away. Hopefully, we can get that all done tomorrow so Sunday we can relax. There's only this weekend and next before the wedding!

i am going to be working tomorrow. which annoys me as i work a regular 9-5 type job and have already worked a bunch of overtime this week. UGH.

and the rest of the weekend I work but I will be enjoying my nights with my FH and maybe see a movie (suggestions???)
Weekends make me jealous of 9-5s, I am salaried, full time, and I love my job but working weekeds is rough!
Thank you all! I did treat myself to a mini cupcake or two today in honor of myself! I can't complain though, because last year my husband threw my a great 30th birthday at our favorite local restaurant on the back patio. We play boule, drank lots of wine and ate great food with about 30 of my favorite people. So this year the focus is on the anniversary part, even if it's a week late!
Tessa~ I can't believe you're getting married in two weeks! Yay!
Belle~ I hope the birthday is a blast, no matter what y'all do. We have looked like rain all week, but haven't gotten that much.

I'm preparing my house for bridesmaid central next weekend. The bride's coming in from KC and a bunch of people are staying at my house! So it's time to give the cats a bath, vacuum, mop, clean, study for my 2 classes, get my hair highlighted, and get ready for the craziness that is next week. DH is coming into town Thursday, which means a whirlwind between family (visiting our new niece), friends, and this wedding! This weekend is mental preparation

I don't have anything big planned this weekend. Farmer's market tomorrow and cleaning to get my house guest ready next weekend!
Kudos to Ejs4y8 for cat bathing! I had a persian years ago and it was damn near impossible to bathe her! She was such a diva!
Kate your 30th sounds like it was amazing! You mean to tell me ya'll DIDN'T get rain? We have had tons! What flavor cupcake btw? I am a cupcake snob! There is an AMAZING PLACE in the VA Highlands a little further down the street from Murphy's (where we're having the ATL bee meet up) called "Belly" that will make you swoon over the fabulous cupcakes! I'll buy you a post birthday one there after the party!
Oh mine are male divas. My himalayan is a pouty boy and my shorthair persian has a mini flip out freak out with water. It's from them having ringworm and they were tortured with every other day lime dips. Can't say I blame them!

Hmmmm. the flavors. the choices? Who could possibly choose one?
I think the yummiest cupcake i had recently was mango cupckaes with lemon curd filling and lemon cream cheese frosting. It was so light and fluffy and tart but sweet. mmmm.

TGIF!!
It's my birthday weekend! Of course, I'm not doing anything for my birthday it seems, just everybody else's! Tonight we're going to our best friend's birthday dinner, then tomorrow night we're going to a wedding shower then ANOTHER birthday party for another friend. Finally, on Sunday my mother is cooking dinner for my birthday. It's also our anniversary on Sunday, so we're going to celebrate next weekend with a romantic dinner out. We were just too booked this weekend. Sad!
