My Fiance is a teacher, so we are trying to find a date that would allow him time off for a honeymoon! The weekend before Easter is the best it seems, as it gives him a full week off. Do you think many people would be able to make a wedding the weekend before or is that a bad date to pick?

he gets a full week off for easter? or is that spring break? either way, i don’t see why that weekend would be a problem. if you plan to get married in a church, they might have more time/decoration restrictions since it will be during lent.

Yeah I think that would be a good time! Coming up soon 🙂 If you arent having a big wedding just family and some close friends, then of course they all would attend!

I think it is a great choice. Many families might have plans to go away during Easter week, so this will avoid that conflict.

It is his school’s Spring Break. It wouldnt’ be this year, it would be 2012. It is either then or sometime in the Fall (when I would PREFER…but he doesn’t get as much time off work). Did you all have this much trouble picking a date? I feel like nothing will be as hard as picking the date! 🙂

SOmeone else said it, some churchs might be a little restrictive with it being Lent, but other than that I don’t see why your guests would have a problem attending. I don’t think the weekend before Easter is a big travel date.

I am actually getting married Easter weekend this year and it isn’t causing conflicts for people. (The majority of guests are Catholic) I don’t think Easter is a big travel holiday.
