There’s been a lot of negative posts popping up recently (from myself included…) so let’s hear it…
Why are you awesome? Give yourself credit! What do you do that deserves recognition? What’s your most recent accomplishment. Here’s your invitation to brag about your awesomeness! We often do posts about “why is your SO amazing?” but what about YOU!!
I’ll go first:
I work full-time as a RN, I’m in school double time finishing my bachelor’s so I can start my master’s degree, I’m planning the wedding, I cook 8 meals every Monday and package them up for the week and manage to keep the house from turning into a disaster zone (with FI’s help!) all at the same time. Woof.

@Jw1724: Congrats!! I envy your meal-planning routine! I never plan things out that well, but it sounds nice! What kinds of things do you make?
Let’s see…. I recently got my PhD and have a good job offer (and another interview next week!), I have qualified for the Boston Marathon 4 times, and most importantly I have a really amazing marriage. I have my fair share of downer days, especially after job hunting for a few months, but I think I have a lot to be proud of

@RunnerBride13: Wow that is all super awesome! Tons of accomplishments… A few of my friends run the Boston Marathon- it’s a huge accomplishment every time!
I usually make 4 meals for FI for the week… usually stuff like different chicken with veggies, brown rice, etc. For myself, I cook up ground turkey, mix it with brown or wild rice and brocolli with some teriyaki/worcestshire sauce etc and split it into meals for the week. We work different shifts so we never eat together lol.

I just worked two jobs for a year, saved 20% of my income from last year and paid off my credit card. I’ve been eating all my meals from home for the past 2 weeks and have saved even more money and lost a pound doing it.

There’s no real reason why I’m awesome. Everything I accomplished I’ve done in the last two years so I guess I’m just awesome for no good reason 😀

The most awesome thing about me, is simply that I am ME!
I care deeply for others am kind, generous, giving and loving, but I stand up for myself, my beliefs and people that I care about.
I manage a team of staff in a health field, I have recently done some study and am currently supporting a friend through terminal cancer while coping with my parner being deployed.
Great thread idea by the way 🙂

Omg SO jealous right now. I had a baby 4 mos ago & when I get anywhere near my pre-baby jeans they shrink back in terror.
How many months PP are you?
@okqueenbee: Don’t feel bad! I’m 7 mos pp and it’s been a huge struggle to get back in those damn jeans. I have a bit of a muffin top, lol, but dang it they’re on!

I’m feeling awesome because I have done a good job maintaining the weight loss I acomplished last year (30+ lbs) and I’m still pushing through this awful plateau and not letting it get me down. DH just celebrated our first anniversary and my marriage is wonderful, happy, strong, etc.

I’m feeling awesome because I found a venue in Southern California for our wedding that costs under $1500 (not an easy task) and is gorgeous!

I’m awesome because I just got handed a tough client by my boss and she said, “I really don’t trust anyone else to handle this but you.” Made me feel like a champ… even if it does mean extra work for me!

@Jw1724: I work full time doing medical billing and secretarial for a private healthcare office, go to school full time, am planning a wedding, and am moving into our first house sometime next month after we get a closing date. CRAZINESS.
