    I am not TTC but FI and I were talking today and I commented on how every single pregnant, or recently pregnant couple I know has had a girl. I am talking one close friend who had a girl. Two co-workers whose wives each gave birth to a girl last month. One friend due in Feb, One in March, and one in May ALL pregnant with girls. I told FI that we can start TTC next year b/c I don't think I want another girl. Don't get me wrong, my daughter was the perfect baby, but now that she is a teenager...she costs WAY more than a boy would of the same age.

    Has anyone else noticed that everyone around them seems to be having a lot of girls?

    For our group of friends it's boys.  There is only one pregnant with a girl out of at least 10 we know of.

    Everyone around me has seemed to have a lot of boys but I guess it's been mixed.  I've known about three boys and two girls either newly born or soon to be born.

    @HisIrishPrincess: Ha...that is weird

    @mandb122: all of FIs friends have had boys so he says that once I move to SC, it shouldn't be an issue...LOL

    I saw a story on the news last night that vegetarians are more likely to have girls. Not that I believe every sensational health story I see on the news, but here's a link to an article describing the study: http://www.themedguru.com/20110104/newsfeature/want-have-daughters-eat-green-veggies-says-study-86143236.html

    I totally agree!!  Almost everyone I know personally is having or just had girls. About 10 of them. I can only think of 2 boys and those are just Facebook friends.
