I was just recently married on 2/20. Beautiful wedding in NC with our large immediate family and some friends. I will post pictures soon. Anyway i would like to share my experience with you before any one decides to order from this well known company.
I had no issues at all with theknot.com site until i ordered something. According to their site normal orders with NO customization take 3-5 days for processing and then same for normal shipping.
I was having an out of state wedding and leaving my home on 2/16. I Placed an order on 1/27 for some last minute items. I was so busy that on 2/9 i realized i received nothing yet. I checked my theknot.com account and it said not yet shipped. I contacted customer service and they said my order was scheduled to be sent out on Friday 2/11. On Monday morning i checked my order status again and it said still not shipped. I again contacted customer service demanding they over night my order at not cost to me and e-mail me a delivery confirmation because 18 days since i placed the order is unacceptable and not what they guarantee. She said we will over night the order and i will have my manager e-mail you.
I received an e-mail same day from the Manager Jael Palmer saying one of my items was discontinued and they had to special order the item, it will be sent out that day. By Tuesday night i still received nothing. I contacted Jael Palmer and he/she told me “after the e-mail i sent you i realized your other items were in backorder, When is your event? I can cancel your order?”
I was so mad i told them to cancel my order. I was leaving on the Thursday the 16th, this is ridiculous. If someone knew my order was going to be delayed i should have been notified sooner with the option to cancel then. I will never order or recommend anyone order from theknot.com again. I went out and searched high and low for replacements the day before i was leaving.
When i got home from my honeymoon, guess what? they still sent the package which the sent out date was 2/18, 3 days after i canceled, 2 days after i left and 2 days before my wedding. I got on the phone with them and i told them i canceled this order, you still sent it. I want to ship this back at no cost to me. They e-mailed me a return label and guess what? i have to pay shipping. I again contacted them and can not get an answer as to if i will be reimbursed.
I never opened the package, so my husband tells me i can go to the company who shipped and give it back to them saying i’m not accepting the package and UPS will ship it back and charge the sender. So that is where i’m at now.
FYI when i look on my theknot.com account it says my order is processing so don’t trust that they update your order information.
