I haven't finalized my colors yet- either Sapphaire blue, white and silver or Sapphaire blue, light blue and white.
Our theme is cheesy- Sapphaires in the snow, Sapphaire is our son's birthstone and winter was the season my fiance proposed in. You have plenty of time to come up with a theme/colors- so just wait for something to "grow" on you.
What does your venue look like?
We were married December1st last year, and our colors were Pink and Ivory. I know pink isn't a traditional color for December, but it seemed to work, because of where we got married. We decided to let our theme be our location, which was at a B&B in Savannah GA.
My theme is a rustic glam winter wonderland! I'm really excited about it and after showing my mom the inspiration she is finally on board and accepts a Dec. wedding does not have to be about red and green I don't really believe in wedding colors, but I keep picking up paint chips and fabric swatching of various metallics and the FI loves grey so those will probably be it - with a bit of evergroom garland for good x-masy measure.
My wedding colors are brown, burgundy, and ivory! My venue is a rustic inn and it gets all Christmased out so most of the decorations are already covered! My dad grows plants for a living so he is going to be supplying all the Poinsettias! White Christmas lights are a must also even though it’s going to be after Christmas! :)
I'm getting married on New Year's Eve (12/31/12). I chose jewel tone colors (plum, peacock blue, emerald, fuschia) with an accent of silver! You should check to see if your venue will be decorated for Christmas! That might help with your theme!
I don't have a theme, but my colors are going to be red, green, gold and charcoal. I'm definitely going the Christmas Route.
My wedding colors are red and gold. I'm not doing quite a Christmas theme, but it was inspired by this photo, actually!

Our colors are white, silver and red/burgundy. We are going to do mostly white and silver, with some touches of red; aiming for a wintery theme with some Christmas feel thrown in. :)
We are having a NYE wedding also and we are doing that turquise/pool blue color and silver/black. So Excited (our centerpieces are below)

Cranberry, Charcoal Grey, Ivory. I think there'l end up being various shades of gray for BM dresses. Cranberry accents, centerpieces. I don't want any stark white. I think I'm going for either rustic or vintage, sometimes it's hard to tell. On one hand, I love mason jars, on the other hand I want some of the classic elements (Christmas tree with popcorn and cranberries). Things are slowly coming together, now I just need the ring
Our theme is winter wonderland. The day we went to see the venue that was the theme for the wedding that was going to happen that day and we just fell in love! They had blue uplighting so I plan to add blue to the wedding.
Not really having a theme, but def going for modern elegancy.
My colors are white, black and silver, with accents of red (mostly red flowers).
I just had a Christmas themed wedding this past December...mine was red, green and gold

@BrookieCookie9: I'm getting married on NYE too! Where did you get your silver branches? I love them!

I couldn't decide between my two favourite colours, and have just gone with WHITE EVERYTHING... so I don't have to worry about shades matching etc.
Hell yeah.
I'll be getting married in Colorado. My family is from TX and my FI is from Cali so while we live here, it will be more of a "destination" wedding for our family. So we're playing up the whole Colorado vibe. I didn't want it to be Christmasy but more like Michael Buble meets rustic mountain lodge. It's been hard to find that line between too rustic versus too stiff and formal. I have almost filled up my dropbox storage space with pictures and finally was able to come up with an inspiration board. It's not perfect but a good start. I would recomend collecting as many pictures as you can possible find---even if one day you don't remember why you liked that picture, it's nice to have and you can always toss it out. Once you have a lot to work with, play with them and make a board. It will keep you on track and focused. You can also use the board to take to vendors and they will be able to give you even MORE ideas! Here's my board:

I'm Dec 2013 as well. Crashing here because the Dec 13 month board is sad and empty. It's all a ways away yet, but I can't avoid thinking/planning. I'm thinking sapphire blue, light green (the colour of green hydrangeas) and white. I'm not going to bother with coloured chair ties or any of that. The venue we have chosen really doesn't need much decor, which is a huge plus!
My "colors" are Ivory and Peacock feathers, like actual peacock feathers lol. It's driving FMIL crazy, she can;t quite wrap her head around it :P She's having such a hard time finding a dress, she doesn't know what color to get. I keep telling her; if the color os in a peacock feather, then your good to go! Here are some of my inspiration pics :)

Our wedding is going to be at this really cool old white church at a pioneer history museum here in Arizona. I wanted to keep the whole rustic theme without going pioneerish so we are going to have a lot of pine cones and evergreen. Also, I fell in love with this centerpiece, so red will be our main color with white, green, and brown as accent colors..pine cones and candy canes!!

@amberfl: Thank you! It took me a little while to get it all together after sifting through (seriously) hundreds of pictures! It really is a great tool to get your vision across to vendors instead of my typical back and forth blabbering! haha
I'm December 28,2012 and we are doing black/white/ivory/champagne:). Having some issues with center piece ideas, if anyone has some to post?
I am having a difficult time choosing my colors. There is a giant Christmas tree in my reception room decorated in apple green and bronze-orange so that is factoring into my color decision. Because the reception room is small and the tree is so large I have to choose colors that compliment the green and bronze. Here are some of the color combos I'm considering:
Dark blue, gray/silver with accents of apple green
Dark teal, eggplant and silver.
Gray, silver and apple green
What do you guys think?
We're really not doing the Christmas thing.... Though we shall see what the venue decides to go with. I'm not sure we have a theme per se, but definitely playing off the vintage/historic vibe of our venue. Our colors will be navy and copper, with lots of pearls and crystals featured in the the decor. We may or may not choose to include my collection of historic mortars and pestles (we're pharmacy students...).
Our date is December 21st. We're going with a green and brown color theme. Those are my two favorite colors (and FI likes them as well). Also, I love chocolate, so the idea that a chocolate fountain can also play into our color scheme is pretty exciting!
December 1st, and our colors are mainly dark purple with accients of lilac purple.. theme I guess would be glamorous, traditional, romantic - something along those lines :)
hello to my fellow new year's eve wedding brides to be!!
We are also getting married this New Years Eve in an old movie theatre.
I am going with elegant/romantic black tie Party!!
our colours are black, eggplant & silver...adding another colour for flowers. haven't figured it out yet.
we are doing royal blue, silver and white for a winter wonderland theme :)
My date is 12/15/12. Our "theme" is Family Tree. Our colors are Marine Blue (Dark navy), Ivory and Gold. We will have lots of trees of all different kinds inside. THere will be very little Christmas things except some Christmas trees to block off part of the reception hall. I am hoping to be able to use minimal lighting, just candles everywhere. Its in a castle and will be amazing.
Our wedding will be a "Rustic Barnyard Chic" theme and our colors are Ivory, Green with pops of Yellow and Peach
Here's a pic so you can get the idea :)

No theme, but we're having shades of blue (starting and sapphire and going up to aqua) and then pops of bright orange. We're getting married on the beach. :)
Here's our cake for a little idea of what we're kind of going for.

I'm actually a December 2013 bride (not by choice, but the venue we want is completely booked for 2012), but I figured you ladied wouldn't mind if I joined you :)
I'm really struggling with colors and a theme for my late December wedding?
What are your colors, and what is your theme?
