I don't even know how to begin this. Last night on his way home from work my husband was struck by a car while riding his bike. He has a bad brain injury that he will never recover from. The love of my life is gone. We were only married for 7 months and we were trying for a baby. He is only 38 and he now lays in the hospital dying. I would give my own life for his. I would give anything to hear him say I love you again. Please keep us in your thoughts.

wow...im so sorry. do you have any family close by? try to get your support network there asap. i wish i could sugar coat this but its not going to be easy for a long time and its best to reach out now before it gets worse

And he had only been married less than a year as well. I just can not imagine what that is like! Keeping you and your husband in my thoughts. A friend of mine lost the woman he was going to spend his life with two years ago in a bike accident. It broke me, so I can't even begin to fathom how he held together.
Yet somehow, he moved on and picked up the pieces. Losing someone is never easy and it never goes away. But eventually, you learn to live with it. Eventually you'll wake up someday and realize it hurts a little less than the day before.
I can't begin to pretend I understand where you're coming from. Hang in there though. I know that at the end of everything there is a light. You'll find it eventually. <3
