Kingcake I agree- i think more doctors should prescribe the gym instead of anti-depressants. I personally love the days I get to box. There is no medication that can match getting to punch things.
best feeling!! :) i love the euphoria after a good sweat/workout! good for you okqueenbee and KEEP IT UP! :D
Endorphines! I love that feeling, too. It helps me feel less bloated in general, particularly around the waist. And not so lazy and sluggish. And I sleep WAY better. I have to keep reminding myself of all the other reasons to continue working out when the scale is stagnant.
@Corgi, you just gotta find something "fun" to do. I like Turbokick and spin. I HATE the gym unless i'm in classes. Like an old married trophy wife, lol. They all have matching outfits....=-]
So glad you are loving your workouts! It's such a great feeling when you take time (much-needed and much-deserved time!) to take care of yourself and to make yourself feel good.
I recently learned a saying from a Hollywood trainer (Valerie Waters) that has encouraged me to workout even when I don't feel like it: "You're only one workout away from a good mood." And as much as I like the physical changes, I am truly addicted to the sunny disposition and happiness I feel when I take good care of me!
Props doll - keep it up!
HAH! I'm with Corgi - I usually feel like a cow when I leave the gym. So I didn't renew my membership and I run outside. LOL
Well, I go late at night so there's not quite as many people there and I don't compare myself to other skinnier girls quite as much lol ;)
Oh I am totally not saying that I like working out, but I love the way I feel when I'm done!
Haha, I go to kind of a pricey gym with "trophy wives" too. I was in a circuit class Friday and most of them were wearing super-cute bright-colored spandex workout tops. I was in a wrinkled Pabst Blue Ribbon t-shirt. Whatever. :)
I'm glad you felt better after going to the gym! It really does give you that high.
I get that feeling after riding! I think it's the endorphins? I love it, and those are the best days of my week.
This is totally true and i know that if i am having a bad day i should resort to the gym rather than taking it out in negative ways but when i am in a bad mood i just DO NOT want to move, but the times where ive gained up the strength to go to the gym even if im upset i feel way better after!

..No matter how big I feel when I go in. I absolutely LOVE the feeling I have about myself after a workout. To me, a good cardio workout is the best medicine for feeling down on myself or my size. I just know after a good long sweat, that I'm that much closer to my goal and that much healthier! I've gained about 10 - 12 lbs in the past year that I am currently working on getting off. It's a great feeling!
I'm loving my workout routine ladies ;) and I can't wait for results to start showing!
