Does anyone else feel in over their heads?!
FI and I are busy. And stressed. We both work full time, and I am in school part time. FI is finishing his last semester of school (full time but at an excelerated school) and will need to start an internship in 5 weeks. We also have twin girls who are 4 years old.
Add in the wedding planning & on all the DIY (this dang on petal aisle runner!), in addition to running a home. I just feel like there is not enough time in the day for it all!
I just needed to vent. I know it can be done. I need better time management skills and less internet surfing while doing my online classes… hehe.

I’m there too. This is going to be my toughest semester a school, I’m working extra hours, there’s preliminary wedding plans, and I just lost my grandpa. I feel like throwing in the towel a lot of the time

Right now, no, because I working from home in the winter. But once the end of February rolls around, i’ll be right there in that boat with you!
I started planning Dec 2012 because in the summer I really can’t accomplish much at all, I work 6 days a week, 13+ hours a day [with an hour ride in & home], there really ISN’T enough time in the day!
I tried that petal aisle runner a long time ago.. got about 6 feet in and remembered that my “aisle” is a brick walkway, so I didn’t really need a runner! I also didn’t like how mine was turning out either.
Ive pretty much diy’d everything else though.

@Laurenplusalex: I am so sorry for your loss 🙁
@jenilynevette: We started planning early as well. We’ve been engaged since March ’12, but really started planning that fall. Thank goodness!! Now it’s just the details. But yesterday was a little bit of a breaking point. I got our invitations, and I have to assemble them! Ugh, I wasn’t planning on that. Another something to add to the list -.-

@eliseemma: Ha! I just finished my save the dates.. I actually made them using paint and let’s say my printer certainly wasn’t okay with printing them. It literally took ALL day to print and assemble 37 of them.
But at least they are done..

@eliseemma: thanks. It wasn’t unexpected, but it’s really derailed me. I’m behind on school, and I haven’t had time to catch up.

I didn’t bother with DIY projects. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to get it all done in time so I just didn’t bother.

Yeah, definitely felt that overwhelmed feeling a lot. When I was wedding planning I was also working full time, selling my house and moving (while basically taking care of two houses for months). I also had a week of classes I attended out of town about a month before the wedding.
Now that the wedding is done, house is sold, I’m moved, and things are more settled, it seems a little quiet, lol. So of course we’re starting to plan some home renovations and are also looking for a “perfect” house for us (which we may not find).
All I can say is pace yourself, take breaks when you really need to, but just try to steadily get things done.

@Jennlee: I told FI we will be bored after the wedding…lol!
Thank you for the advice. I had a lot of pressure the past couple of days about work and the wedding. Luckily, the wedding issues got worked out fine. Work, eh, we will see. I am definitely trying to prioritize to not get too overwhelmed.
