Sitting here, having never faced this, I would hope I would be…at peace with this outcome. I don’t believe in the death penalty, so I have to hope such a tragedy wouldn’t darken my spirit too much.

But you can never know.

Not that it is entirely related, but I was at a MADD event not too long ago. I remember the speaker saying that almost 90% of marriages break up after a child is killed in a DUI accident. Tragedy can really break a person.

I knew Chelsea. She was such a sweet girl.

Her parents are holding up well. They’re well known in our community. I understand them not wanting to drag it on, especially with their son.

Omg, I am so glad he admitted that he murdered both of these girls. I live in SD county, and the Amber D. case has been a mystery for so long.

Personally, I believe in the death penalty. I think if the evidence is there, then it should be a consideration…I just think, if one of my family members was murdered, knowing that person who killed them was facing the death penalty…would give me closure. But I respect others’ opinions regarding the issue. It is complicated.

these stories are so hearthbreaking, what a monster someone has to be to do something like that. i cant imagine what their families are going through.
