Beekeeper
I think I've written a few times about how my e-ring lost its teeth. :( It had 1/2-eternity band with diamonds on the top and both sides, and one of the diamonds fell out ON MY WEDDING DAY! I had it and wore it and it was whole, and by the time we got back to our hotel that night, it was missing a tooth (well, a little diamond, but it reminded me of a kid with a front tooth missing!).
We took it to the ring shop and they replaced it and "tightened" all of the prongs (so they said), but within six months it fell out again, as did another diamond on the top. We brought it back a few weeks ago (the shop is pretty inconveniently located) and they were going to charge us $40 to replace the two missing diamonds since the ring was over two years old and the warranty had expired. But when they took a closer look, the thing was just DESTROYED. I knew I should have made them order us a new one when we bought it, rather than take the band in the store. :( But they told me they would build me a new band, and today they called my husband to say it was ready! So excited! I'll pick it up tomorrow before work. Luckily they're not charging for it, even the missing stones, after all... that would have hurt!
It's been weird being without it for so long! Anyone else end up with a new e-ring after all? I never wanted to upgrade, but I'm glad I at least have a more secure setting now! :) (Well, hopefully!) Can't wait to be reunited with my Frankenring!
